Israeli students won the world's largest student-designed Business Gamecompetitions

About 60 students from Israel from 3 academic institutions (Tel Aviv University, Hebrew University and Interdisciplinary Herzliya) participated in the L'Oreal Marketing Innovation Competition - BRANDSTORM this year and joined 40,000 students who participated in the competition worldwide. The theme of this year's competition was sustainability: BUILD A PLASTIC-LESS FUTURE IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY, in collaboration with L'Oreal's consumer products division.
Eighteen outstanding students rose to the final stage, and last week (19.5.20) the final competition was held, as the winning team from the Koller Faculty of Management at Tel Aviv University offered a revolutionary and innovative solution - a shampoo of compressed powder rolls that can be shredded using a multi-purpose device. This solution dramatically reduces water use, the need to transport, store and transport water and eliminates the use of plastic shampoo bottles and conditioners.
The Loreal - Brandstorm International Business Game is one of the world's largest student-designed competitions and has been held for 27 years, with participation by some 65 countries, including Israel. In last year's World Finals, about 10,000 business innovation ideas were collected from the students. At the final yesterday, the students presented their innovative solutions to the challenge presented to them by the panel of judges, which included Eli Sagiv, CEO of L'Oreal Israel; Ilan Nakash, Director of Consumer Products Division; Danielle Prosky-Sion VP Corporate Communications and Sustainability, Hila Hatkiewicz Marketing and Maya Givon, Co-Founder and Sustainability Manager at THE NATURAL STEP Israel.
According to Eli Sagiv, CEO of L'Oreal Israel: "This global competition provides outstanding students with real hands-on experience and real-time challenges in the competitive business world, as well as a rare opportunity for winners to integrate into Station F in Paris, L'Oreal's Innovation Incubator. For L'Oreal, the program is an opportunity to identify and recruit talents to its ranks. I am proud of the creative and innovative ideas presented to us by Israeli students and wish them success in L'Oreal's international competition. "

The winning students will represent Israel this June in this year's international finals competition, competing with hundreds of students from universities around the world. The winner of the global competition will be given the right to integrate into the L'Oreal STATION F innovation incubator in Paris for a fully financed company for 3 months, during which the winning concept will undergo a comprehensive feasibility study to launch a pilot. In addition, they will join the L'Oreal One Young World Summit International Forum meeting, an enlightening experience where they will be exposed to the greatest challenges in the field of sustainability.
