The aerospace industry will partner with the international accelerator MassChallenge, to launch a path for the development of unique sensor technologies called Future Sensing. This track is designed for startups that develop sensors in high frequency, quantum, photonics, acoustics, ultrasonic and any disruptive technology in the world of sensing, or fusion of information from sensors.
The aerospace industry will operate through its subsidiary Elta, offering start-ups a significant collaboration that includes access to customers and markets around the world that Elta operates, and integrating technological solutions into the company's advanced systems. This is the first of its kind to bring about an aerospace industry strategy to deepen its global innovation activity with startups, while being a strategic partner for startups in the sensing field.
Aeronautical VP and Elta CEO Yoav Turgman: "As part of the collaboration, IAI will be involved in the process of selecting start-ups to enter the Future Sensing path in the explorer and conduct an overview of the start-ups already in place. Finding innovative technologies that are applicable to IAI and its customers. Contribute to mentoring, technological, industrial and business collaborations. Elta's start-up companies, selected by Elta, will develop technologies to help Atlanta expand its business areas, promote business, drive innovation, grow its business. To preserve technological superiority ”.
MassChallange Israel CEO Yonit Sirkin: "The tightening relationship with the aerospace industry is of great strategic importance, as joint activity with a leading Israeli company has an important contribution in building quality infrastructure for stratospheres who strive to make their innovation a breakthrough in the global arena. Alta's capabilities in the country and its international operations bring a high quality dimension to MassChallenge's global network of collaborations that includes global companies, and leading investors operating in the country and internationally. "
The MassChallange Accelerator was established over four years ago in Israel and operates non-profit in Israel and worldwide and does not take holdings or profits from the programs it runs for entrepreneurs and start-ups. The accelerator's upcoming program will open in Israel this April. The entrepreneurs who will be accepted into the program will benefit from an international mentoring network that includes senior executives from industry and the business world in Israel and the United States. The ten outstanding entrepreneurs who will participate in the upcoming program may receive a cash prize of up to NIS half a million. In addition, the ten outstanding entrepreneurs will participate in a business trip to the United States, which includes a series of meetings with international investors, global partners and senior executives of large companies interested in collaborating with startups. The achievements of the entrepreneurs who participated in the first four cycles of the accelerator are very impressive.
Data from the 200 entrepreneurs who took part in the previous plans show that their fundraising totals about $ 300 million and created about seven thousand new jobs.
