Elta has unveiled a new version of the Drone Guard radar system to detect UAVs

Elta Systems has unveiled a new upgraded version of the Drone Guard radar system to detect and disrupt UAVs and smal multirotor drones. The system has been sold in hundreds of units worldwide.

The new and modular configuration includes an upgraded Comnet system that detects the skimmer according to its unique transmission frequency and protocol and is able to "take over" the communications to counteract threats. In addition, the radar, electro-optic system and jamming system have been updated and now offer improved capabilities.
The scale of commercial use of rhephan in recent years has increased dramatically as these tools have become a potential threat for sensitive installations, mass gatherings, celebrities and other aircraft, as well as homeland defense issues, due to their small size and slow flight. Small UAVs can be used for hostile purposes such as intelligence gathering, smuggling, or even armament.
In order to deal with the threat, Elta offers a solution that combines three-dimensional radar for aerial targets, electro-optical and kinetic devices, and a system designed to disrupt UAV flight capabilities.
The B2026ELM short-range range (10 km) to 20 km long range has been modified so that it can detect slow-moving and low-radar aerial targets with electro-optic means for visual identification of the target.
The system effectively disrupts the skimmer control and navigation channels and supports a variety of communication protocols capable of preventing a single (and also a hovering) hovercraft from entering a safe zone or neutralizing it safely using "take over" techniques.
