About a third of the workers were dissatisfied with their employers response during the Corona crisis.
Efrat Segev, VP of Data and Analysis at Dun & Bradstreet: "The ranking of the best high-tech companies and startups to work for, published for the seventh year in a row, presents a comprehensive and unique picture of the leading companies in the industry. The turbulent year of the high-tech industry, which was characterized by significant tide, recruitment and IPOs, along with a dramatic increase in the need for workers, further highlighted the fierce competition for human capital and the need to be perceived as a coveted workplace that manages to retain its employees over time. In the past year, which has been marked by the corona crisis, we have seen that the companies that have managed to produce transparency, certainty, and a real ability to address the needs of employees and their families, are also the ones that emerged strengthened from the crisis and gained employee trust.
In addition, the move to work from home and later also to a hybrid work model, which allows for more flexibility, has created a unique opportunity to integrate additional populations that the GA gaps have so far removed from the possibility of integrating into the high-tech industry. "
The ranking is based on extensive research, conducted by Dun & Bradstreet and examined hundreds of high-tech companies and start-ups. As part of the study, HR managers were contacted and a variety of parameters were examined, such as: employee ability to influence, technological environment, career development and employee retention, work environment experience, salary conditions and logic and inclusion policies in the company.
At the same time, a questionnaire was also sent to the employees themselves, and their satisfaction was tested on a variety of parameters: terms of employment, professional challenge, ability to influence, work-house balance and more. Employees and HR managers were also asked who, in their view, are the high-tech companies that work best (regardless of their workplace). The findings of the comprehensive study were weighted for the final rankings.
This year, as last year, there was widespread reference in the rankings to the corona crisis. The companies were asked about the policies they adopted towards the employees during the crisis, how the crisis affected the company's activities, what is the work policy from the firm and how the company copes with the difficulties created as a result of work from home, such as employee attrition and work life balance. At the same time, the employees themselves were asked about their satisfaction with the company's conduct during the crisis.
The ranking of the best high-tech companies to work for in 2021 ranks 50 companies employing more than 60,000 workers in Israel, out of about 334,000 workers employed in the Israeli high-tech industry (as of 2021 from the report of the Innovation Authority and Start-Up Nation Central).
The demand for workers has been growing in the last year and a half and today it stands at about 15,000 vacancies. Today, almost every high-tech company has a number of vacancies.
16 new companies unrated last year entered the rankings this year: SentinelOne JFrog, eToro, Cybereason labs, Outbrain, Armis Security, eBay, Impreva, Service now, Perion Network, Redis, Checkmarx and ZipRecruiter.

For the first time, the ranking of startups that are best to work with has been split into 2 separate rankings: the ranking of startups - up to 100 employees and the ranking of startups over 100 employees. The effects of the corona have also led to the growth of many startups that have experienced an increase in the workforce.
