The EROS-C3 satellite produced by the Aerospace Industry was launched on December 30, 2022 at 09:20 Israel time, from the SPACEX company's "Falcon 9" launcher at the US Space Force's Vandenberg Base in California, USA. EROS-C3 is one of the most advanced observation satellites in the world, thanks to the integration of breakthrough technological capabilities that allow very high resolution photography on several channels at the same time.

After its launch, the satellite entered its orbit around the Earth and began transmitting data to the ground station. The engineers of the aerospace industry began a series of pre-planned calibrations and tests to verify the integrity and level of performance of the satellite, until it enters full operation in the near future
Chairman of IAI, Amir Peretz: "For IAI the sky is not the limit either. The launch of the C3 EROS satellite illustrates our being a pioneer in the worlds of space as well. Israel's space program relies on an impressive infrastructure of technologies developed in the aerospace industry in cooperation with the defense establishment, the academy and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The products of the satellite launched today and the important findings it will transmit to the ground station will help the aerospace industry to develop space technologies in the civilian field, for the benefit of improving the quality of life in the entire world."
The CEO of IAI, Boaz Levy: "Being the space house of the State of Israel, today's 3C-EROS satellite launch is another expression of IAI's advanced technological capabilities. After a significant process of work on the satellite, in which the best minds of the employees of the aerospace industry worked on its development and production, the satellite began to transmit data to the ground station. The Aerospace Industry works in cooperation with government bodies, academic institutions, associations and entrepreneurs from Israel and abroad, to promote technological achievements, scientific research and the development of future space technologies."
The 3C-EROS satellite is part of the OPTSAT3000 series observation satellite family developed and manufactured by the aerospace industry. The high photography capabilities of the satellite make it a pioneer in the field of observation satellites. A camera developed and manufactured by "Elbit Systems" is installed in the satellite, an advanced light weight space camera that provides very high resolution performance for governmental and commercial applications and missions.
The Aerospace Industry is the largest defense technology company in Israel, is a center of national knowledge and a world leader in the production and development of advanced systems in the fields of space, aviation, sea, land and cyber, for the military-security market and for the civilian market. The company is a center of national knowledge in the fields of missiles, radars, satellites, unmanned vehicles, civil aviation and cyber. The Missile and Space Systems Division of the Aerospace Industry believes in the development and construction of air defense systems, including the Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 weapon systems, Barak 8, stray missiles and countless Missile systems, advanced satellite systems such as observation satellites, nano-satellites, satellite launchers, communication satellites, including the national communication satellite 'Dror' and the spacecraft 'Bereshit' in its groundbreaking mission to the moon and more.
