Intel has announced its cooperation with two Israeli start-ups in the cyber field: Duality and Enigma. "I am proud that Israeli companies and partners are launching new solutions that use Intel technology to provide additional protection," said Rick Echeveria, vice president, software and services group and general manager of Intel's Global Platform Security Division, who visits Israel on the occasion of the Cyber Week.
Duality is a member of the team8, which is managed by the commander of the former Unit 8200 Nadav Tsafrir, which was founded in 2014 and is a hotbed for initiating and setting up start-ups in the cyber field. It cooperates with Intel in examining the security challenges of artificial intelligence protection by using homomorphic encryption on Intel platforms.
Enigma has developed a unique privacy protocol that uses Intel SGX (Software Guard Extensions) to protect data. Intel and Enigma will collaborate to add this technology into the etherum smart contract.
"I came to the cyber week because Israel is a significant and important cyber center for Intel," added Achvaria. "The biggest challenge today is to secure the large amounts of data, and new workloads provide more data to be analyzed and secured."
"One of the challenges we face is that machine learning algorithms often require access to sensitive data, especially given the continued focus on data privacy around the world," he explained. "Intel technologies provide unique capabilities that help improve the privacy, security and scalability of these workloads."

Last month, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Accenture and The Floor announced the development of a new Blocheen platform for securities lenders based on Intel processors. This platform will transform the securities lending market in Israel by enabling direct loans of all major financial instruments.
"Security is vital to our company strategy and the foundation for workloads of all kinds," said a senior Intel executive. "We will continue to innovate and transform our silicon chips into active participants in the threat protection lifecycle." The announcements in the cyber week highlight the value these investments provide to meet today's cyber security needs.
