A delegation of Chinese giant corporations arrived in Israel during the IPIEC Global 2018 competition, which aims to locate start-ups around the world at the initial product stage. As part of the competition, start-ups will be able to present new ideas to investors, promote strategic cooperation with companies in China and gain a foothold in new markets and among government officials.

The investment in the project is about $ 25 million in innovative projects in the fields of autonomous vehicles, renewable energy, artificial intelligence and robotics, big data, bio-medicine, IT and communications, innovative materials and more.

"The Israeli entrepreneurs are very much in demand in China, which opens up a lot of possibilities for them in the areas of development, research, marketing and more," said Tian Zhengwu, CEO of Guangdong Yueke Investment Fund and a senior judge in the competition. "There are many challenges facing investors and entrepreneurs, including language barriers, cultural differences and regulation that cause difficulties, and our goal is to bridge these gaps and establish fruitful relationships between Israeli investors and Israeli technology companies."
 
Israeli start-ups are invited to enter the competition and the three winners of the competition in Israel will be flown free of charge to participate in the semi-finals and finals in China. In addition, they will receive first-hand acquaintance with the Chinese market, assistance in building a business network in the country, escorting and training top Chinese experts and investors in the various sectors, online sales promotion and increased public exposure.

This is the second year of competition in Israel. Last year, about 70 Israeli start-ups joined the competition, of whom 20 took part in the competition, six of whom were flown to China and two even won the Betalin and Carticure finals. These two Israeli start-ups won joint work agreements with Chinese companies.

The international competition is organized by WTOIP, which is a leading Chinese platform for sharing innovation issues in cooperation with leading industrial and technological bodies from Guangzhou and government institutions in China The competition is organized by Israel Commerce Union, which serves as a bridge between China and Israel for business cooperation
