Waze users around the world can now view the navigation instructions and real-time traffic reports on the touch screen of all Ford models equipped with SYNC AppLink, and control the app with voice commands. Vehicle owners equipped with the SYNC 3 system will have easier access to different features, such as locating faster routes, navigating to reduced fuel stations and reporting road accidents.

Ford customers can easily enjoy the new option: connect the iPhone with Waze to the USB port of the car and watch the app on the car's touch screen. Ford's SYNC AppLink system now gives users easier and more convenient access to the services provided by the app through a larger monitor and enables listening to voice guidance through the built-in audio system.

"Our goal is to provide people with the most convenient access to key pitches, applications and mobile services while in the car, without having to have the smartphone in their hands," said Don Butler, a platform manager and Ford product. "Waze integration gives our customers added value: an app experience on a larger screen."

The Ford version of the Waze includes the latest updates to the application, including Talk to Waze, to control voice commands, HOV, which offer more navigation options and more accurate arrival times for passengers on busy routes. "
