An intriguing exhibit on the aerial shelf - Tiny helicopters without a pilot: IAI's multiplayer system will be presented for the first time in the coming days as an advanced technological technological solution for monitoring, observation, control and cargo transport tasks.
Unlike the glider world, which is booming in the use of the IDF and other security bodies, the unmanned helicopters provide a dual advantage that lasts for prolonged stays in the air for several hours in a row and carrying heavier weights.
The multiplayer helicopter group, developed together with Simplex, Alpha and Citech, can carry loads weighing tens of kilograms, such as supplies beyond enemy lines, while staying in the air for two and a half hours, for example, and within a flight range of about ten kilometers.
The system, which will initially be offered on a civilian platform for various policing and control missions, is already gaining interest from the defense establishment as well. In the civilian medium, the multiplayer is intended for rapid control and observation missions in extinguishing fires, natural disasters, earthquakes, mass events and transportation, agriculture, rescue, rescue and locating missing persons.
The system was developed last year on the basis of existing off-the-shelf products and in collaboration with technologies from start-up companies, and is a breakthrough in everything related to monitoring large areas.
The drones are given as a squad controlled by a single operator, which is at a rear and safe point, as opposed to gliders operated by the fighters at the front.
The system is securely connected to the network so that multiple users can use it simultaneously. Multiplayer provides a solution for different types of drones and skimmers, and can carry different types of detection cargo.
Moshe Levy, IAI's VP and Director of the Military Aircraft Division, said: "IAI has about 50 years of experience in the UAV field, and is a world leader with groundbreaking technologies in the field. As part of the company's strategy, we are constantly looking for areas of activity In addition, the multiplayer system is a significant milestone in this aspect. "
Eric Freeman, CEO of Alpha Unmanned Systems who is a partner in the project, noted: "The system requires a reliable and versatile platform, capable of flying for at least 90 to 150 minutes."
