Shikun VeBinui is the winner of the tender for the construction of the intelligence complex in Likit, whose construction cost is estimated at NIS 3-2.5 billion. This was announced by the director of the move south to the Ministry of Defense. This is a PFI tender in which the winning company will finance, plan, build, operate and maintain the complex - which is expected to contain 350,000 square meters that will be built on an area of 2,500 dunams - for 26 years.
The Blikit Intelligence Campus is the latest and most complex tender issued by the defense establishment as part of the IDF's move south to the south. Three groups: Electra-Minrav, Shikun VeBinui and Shafir.
The construction process is expected to continue for another four years, and the population itself - of the 12,000 soldiers and workers that the intelligence lie is expected to contain, of which about 5,000 permanent servicemen - will be launched only in 2026.
Last week, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz visited the Likit area and said: "The IDF, including the Chief of Staff and the head of the intelligence department I spoke with, I and the entire defense establishment, see the Negev as the right place to develop. A place where we will have the best technological facility. , The highest quality and most important to create the most powerful and leading intelligence arm, which is why the Intelligence Division moved to the Negev.
Last week, a discussion was held in the State Audit Committee regarding the delay in the IDF transfer project to the Negev, and in particular the concern for appropriate means of transportation to it. Basiuk estimated that 38% of them live north of Gush Dan and said that "according to the surveys we do, we are not convinced that many will move to live in the Negev, even though we have an interest in it happening. And if we do not give them an answer, it will not happen."
MK Ofer Shelah, chairman of the committee, said in the same discussion that "the IDF Crossing, the Negev is one of the most important projects on the national agenda, and at the same time one of the most egregious examples of a government decision that is simply not being implemented. "18 years have passed since the first government decision on the issue, and we are almost in the same place:" The IDF wants zero risks in relation to its current situation, and the other government ministries, especially the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transportation, have difficulty presenting solutions.
