Germany is expected to purchase unmanned aerial vehicles from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) worth 1 billion euros, the Defense News website reported. The deal was suspended several months ago due to political opposition in Germany, but according to the report, the resistance was removed and progress is currently being made in completing the deal, which could greatly improve IAI's situation
Germany does not currently manufacture unmanned aircraft and should start producing them within two years. The deal in question is supposed to be an interim solution. These aircraft are manufactured by the Israeli Aerospace Industries and General Atomix.
After the two companies competed in the tender, the German Defense Ministry chose the Israeli alternative two years ago. The Americans appealed the decision in Germany and lost it.

The Social Democratic Party criticized the purchase even before the German elections, but now that a coalition agreement has been reached in which the Social Democratic Party is a partner, it is estimated that the purchase of the unmanned aircraft will be carried out
