Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held a press conference in Kirya on Saturday evening, addressing the October 7 massacre and ongoing conflict with Hamas. He dismissed the possibility of a state commission of inquiry, emphasizing the commitment to achieve the war's goals: eliminating Hamas, securing the release of abductees, and ensuring Gaza poses no threat to Israel.

Netanyahu reiterated the comparison between Hamas and the Nazis on International Holocaust Day, accusing those at The Hague of absurdity for accusing Israel of false genocide claims. He criticized unnamed parties for questioning Israel's determination, stating, "We will win an absolute victory."

On the prospect of a state investigative committee, Netanyahu expressed that investigations should occur after the war, not in the midst of it. Regarding relations with Egypt and a reported break with Qatar, he affirmed normalcy with Egypt and maintained pressure on Qatar for its influence over Hamas.

Responding to Netanyahu's remarks, the families' headquarters for the return of abductees called on him to correct mistakes and focus on their release. Netanyahu's stance on Hamas elimination and establishing a technocratic government was reiterated.

Internationally, discussions on ending the conflict involve reforming the Palestinian Authority, a hostage deal, and potential normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia. Reports suggest protests against Netanyahu's conduct in the United States, with close associates of President Biden advising a public loss of confidence in him.

As Netanyahu focuses on the destruction of Hamas, the IDF presents alarming information that Hamas is restoring civilian capabilities in Gaza. The lack of clarity on Gaza's future leadership is seen as a hindrance to military objectives. Order 9, responsible for blocking the Kerem Shalom crossing, opposes humanitarian aid to Hamas until all abductees are released.
