Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen and Minister of Economy and Digitalization of Austria, Dr. Margaret Schrambeck, signed today with Austrian President Dr. Alexander Van Der Bellen and Austrian Minister of Education Dr. Heinz Fasmann ), a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the creative economy, which is the first of its kind to develop an additional path of innovation for the growth of the Israeli economy.
Creative economics is an economy in which companies and organizations assimilate processes of design and creativity as a strategic growth engine in business operations. While technological development processes emphasize the functional contribution, design development processes emphasize both the functional and the experiential aspects. Through this, they contribute to the understanding of markets through a comprehensive approach to various and varied needs.
Creative industries include the professions of design, architecture, art, fashion, advertising, film, video, music, computer games, television, and radio. They are defined all over the world as an economic sector and constitute about 3% of the world's GNP and about 8-12% of the GNP in Europe. The State of Israel is a global leader in R & D innovation, yet the potential of the creative economy in Israel is another important element in advancing innovation in a wide range of sectors in the economy, including manufacturing, commerce and services.
The creative industries also have an impact on the entrepreneurial world because they offer a variety of tools and capabilities that will increase Stratap's chances of success: user understanding and customer experience development, modeling and simulation capabilities for rapid testing of ideas before entering complex and expensive development, data visualization and decision making, ux / ui interfaces Product development, functionality, promotion, marketing, video and storytelling.
Governments around the world (Denmark, England, Austria, France, Sweden, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Germany) have begun to formulate programs designed to develop a creative economy. In addition, large companies such as Google, M3, We-Work, Wix, Fiver, Soda Stream and CaesarStone, understand the importance of the field and adopt its principles.
Recently, the Ministry of Economy and Industry has begun to formulate an orderly policy in the field and the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding constitutes a significant stage for the development of the subject in Israel. In the past year, the office support tracks designed to improve productivity in the industry have been added to the possibility of recognizing product design and experience as part of the familiar elements of investment. Along with this recognition, the Ministry will continue to promote the creative economy in Israel and institutionalize mechanisms and infrastructures on this subject.
