Raad Abu Al-Qi'an, 49, from the southern Israeli town of Hura, was killed on Wednesday in an operational engineering accident in the Gaza Strip while working for a contractor carrying out projects on behalf of Israel's Ministry of Defense.
According to initial reports, Abu Al-Qi'an was operating engineering equipment during a construction and demolition mission when a structure collapsed, trapping him beneath the debris. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
