After six hours of relative quiet, missile fire from Iran resumed overnight, triggering sirens across large parts of Israel and sending millions of residents into protected areas. In northern communities, residents were instructed to remain in shelters for nearly an hour.
Shrapnel fell at several sites in central Israel following interceptions. Magen David Adom said no direct casualties were reported in the barrage, though several people were lightly injured while rushing to shelter.
The IDF clarified that the launches in the latest barrage originated from Iran alone.
Air Force Strikes Iranian Communications Hub
On Tuesday night, Israeli Air Force aircraft dropped dozens of munitions on what the IDF described as the Iranian regime’s communications and propaganda center.
According to the military, the facility had recently been used to promote and coordinate military operations under the guise of civilian infrastructure. The IDF said the activity went beyond standard propaganda work and was conducted on behalf of and under the direct direction of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The army added that the Iranian Broadcasting Authority has for years called for the destruction of Israel and the use of nuclear weapons, while also serving as a tool for suppressing dissent within Iran.
Targeted Killing in Beirut
The IDF announced that it assassinated Adham Adnan al-Otman, identified as the commander of the military wing of the Islamic Jihad in Beirut. According to the statement, al-Otman had advanced terrorist activity in recent years, including recruiting and training operatives and procuring weapons.
An IDF Arabic-language spokesperson again called on residents of multiple communities in southern Lebanon to evacuate.
Hezbollah condemned what it described as “Israeli aggression in Lebanon,” stating that any fire directed at Israel constitutes a “legitimate act of defense.”
U.S. Casualties in Kuwait
CNN reported that the number of American soldiers killed in Kuwait has risen to six. According to a source familiar with the details, the first fatalities occurred in an Iranian strike on an improvised operations center at a civilian port facility.
The United States Department of State issued an urgent advisory calling on American citizens to leave Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip immediately, as well as Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
Conflict Expands Across the Region
As the third day of fighting between Iran, Israel and the United States begins, the confrontation is increasingly taking on regional and international dimensions. Attacks have targeted Gulf states, and Cyprus has reportedly become entangled in the widening hostilities.
Thus far, some of the most significant damage has affected Iran’s neighbors. Several Gulf countries had recently declared they would not allow the United States to use their territory to attack Iran and publicly expressed support for diplomatic negotiations.
However, behind the scenes, reports suggest that at least one state — Saudi Arabia — encouraged the administration of Donald Trump to act decisively against Tehran.
Energy Infrastructure in the Crosshairs
Weakened but still defiant, Iran has reportedly shifted toward targeting regional energy infrastructure and oil tankers — assets considered more vulnerable than Israeli strategic sites or U.S. naval vessels.
Iranian leadership, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is believed to calculate that inflicting severe economic damage on Gulf states and driving up global oil prices could pressure Washington to curtail the war.
According to a report in The Washington Post, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged President Trump to follow through on military threats against Iran. He reportedly expressed concern that Tehran could emerge strengthened if Washington failed to act, as well as fears of large-scale damage to Saudi Arabia’s oil industry — still the kingdom’s primary source of revenue despite diversification efforts.
