In a daring mission in the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully rescued the bodies of two abductees, Aden Zakaria (27) from Rishon Lezion and RSV Ziv Dado (36) from Rehovot, from a tunnel. The operation also resulted in the elimination of Ahmed Randor, a key figure in Hamas's Northern Gaza Brigade.

Aden Zakaria had been abducted during a party in Ra'i on October 7, where her partner Ofek Kimchi (23) was tragically murdered. Aden's mother, Orin, confirmed the devastating news on social media, expressing her grief and remembering her daughter with a heartfelt message.

Sergeant Major Ziv Dado, who fell while serving as a logistics foreman in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade, had been recognized as a hostage by a terrorist organization since his kidnapping.

Medical officials, military rabbis, the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and the Israel Police conducted an identification procedure to confirm the recovered bodies, and representatives from the IDF and police informed the families before the bodies were returned to Israel.

The IDF spokesperson conveyed condolences to the grieving families and emphasized the national mission to locate the missing and return all abductees home. The IDF, in collaboration with security agencies, is utilizing intelligence and operational means to fulfill this mission.

Rishon Lezion, the hometown of Aden Zakaria, mourned her loss, describing her as a winner who excelled in every competition, known for her intelligence, creativity, family orientation, and love for travel. The municipality expressed deep sorrow and shared in the family's grief.

Ziv Dado's funeral took place on October 25 at the military cemetery in Holon, concluding a 17-day period of uncertainty after he was declared missing. Stav, his wife, shared details of the day of his departure for duty, highlighting his enthusiasm for serving in operations.

As the nation mourns the loss of these brave individuals, the IDF remains dedicated to its mission of bringing all abductees home, underscoring the gravity of the ongoing situation in the region.
