In fact, this is the second time Intel is acquiring a company in which it is invested. In recent years, Intel has become the most significant buyer in the Israeli economy of technology companies. Intel's acquisition spree brought two major acquisitions - the Mobilai deal and the Habana Labs deal. Company shareholders: Sequoia Capital (24%), (BRM (16%, Gemini (16%), Nir Erez (9%) Intel Capital (7%), Vizra (7%), Roy Bick (6%) ), Nokia (4%), Yaron Evron (2%), Uri Levin 2%, Hanko (2%), Vintage (2%) and BMW (1%).
In March 2017, Intel bought the chip maker from Mobilai for about $ 15.3 billion, a deal that followed Mobilai and its founder, Prof. Amnon Amusement, to become Intel's leading autonomous automotive hub. Amusement even joined Mobit in 2018 as a consultant. Last year, Intel bought the artificial intelligence chip company Habana Labs, which was set up by Avigdor Willenz for about $ 2 billion.
