"Israeli consumers are more pessimistic about their economic future"

The Central Bureau of Statistics data shows that in the past two months, Israeli consumers are more pessimistic about their economic future - a trend that is reflected in the negative rate of consumer confidence.
Last November, the consumer confidence index stood at a negative 14%, compared with a negative 10% in October. Further, two of the sub-indices that make up the Consumer Confidence Index were aggravated: the expected change in the state of the economy, which stood at a negative rate of 19% in November, compared with 12% in September, and the expected change in the state of the economy, which stood at a positive rate of 5% last month, Compared to 11% in September. That is, the public is more pessimistic about the economic situation of households and the state.
However, it should be noted that, even in the last year and since 2015, the household's economic situation is in a positive trend. Which, according to the CBS, indicates cautious optimism.
Pessimism is probably higher among those who are not employed, where the index stood at a negative rate of 23%, compared with a negative rate of 9% among employed persons. In addition, the index had a negative rate of 21% for those without a high school diploma, compared with those with a high school diploma and academic certificate, with a negative rate of 11% and 9% respectively.
There was also more pessimism among the Arab population, where the index stood at a negative rate of 26%, compared with the Jewish population (negative rate of 11%). It should be noted that the significance of the negative rate is the difference between the proportion of respondents who answered that their economic situation and the economy would improve in the future, and the same proportion of respondents who answered the opposite answer.
