Bezeq International employees signed an agreement with management, according to which over 300 employees will leave the company in the next five years - about 25% of the company's employees.
According to the agreement, the cost of the workers' provision will reach more than NIS 50 million. The management will increase the various welfare payments and grant a special bonus to the employees on the basis of the cooperation between the subsidiaries. These are agreements for the voluntary retirement of hundreds of employees.
The cuts in Bezeq International are made against the backdrop of a strategic move by the Bezeq Group to merge the subsidiaries: Bezeq International, Yes and Pelephone. Pelephone CEO Ran Guron is also the CEO of the other two companies, and he led the contacts with the workers.
So far, an agreement has been signed with Yes employees, which included the retirement of 325. Pelephone still has negotiations.
The employees, on their part, will facilitate the synergies between the three companies, such as new marketing proposals and the mutual sale of products and services.
At the same time, the employees' salaries will be raised and they will receive a salary increment of 2.95 percent in 2020. In 2021 a salary increase of 2% will be distributed, and an additional NIS 2 million will be distributed as an excellence grant to employees. The welfare budget will increase and the company's participation in meals will increase.
Chairman of the Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David, said: "The agreement reflects the recognition and understanding of the Histadrut and Bezeq International employees of the company's need to streamline and expand its business cooperation - without compromising the status of employees and improving the conditions of their employment. I welcome the end of the negotiations and thank all those involved in it, from both sides, and the joint and successful way forward can only be achieved through a dialogue of mutual dialogue and fairness towards each other, and I am certain that the working relationship between Bezeq International and the Bezeq Group will continue to be conducted in the best possible way " .
Bezeq International CEO Ran Guron: "Today we signed an agreement with the Bezeq International workers' committee and the General Federation, in the framework of which we reached the best understandings with all the parties. This agreement will enable us to promote synergy processes, to operate from an overall perspective of the customer's needs and to offer a full basket of products suited to the market situation. I am confident that the agreement, formulated in teamwork, will ensure that Bezeq International continues to lead the communications market while maintaining its unique organizational culture. "
