Funding for the expressway project in Gush Dan area has been completed - NIS 2.3 billion

Construction, operation and maintenance of the set of express lanes in Gush Dan will last for a concession period of 14 years. As part of the project, Dania and Electra will build high-capacity park and ride parking lots (for about 11,000 vehicles) at the Ayalon interchange (Rishon Lezion), and the Shafiim area, will design and build connecting "ramps" and interchanges between the parking lots and the expressways themselves and Route 541 from Ra'anana to Shafiim.

In addition, Dania and Electra will establish toll, collection, traffic and control systems for the expressway system and will procure the buses for the project's operating needs, through Dan as a subcontractor.
As part of the project, the Dan Group will operate a first-of-its-kind system in Israel to electrify approximately 3,500 private vehicles in "Park and drive" parking lots, and will operate approximately 170 electric-powered buses that will be used to operate the service lines for passengers using the express lanes.

The service lines will operate along Highway 20 from Shfeim to Rishon Lezion, from the parking lots to central hubs in the Tel Aviv metropolis, with a total length of approximately 75 km. In addition, the Dan Group will also operate toll, collection, traffic and control systems for the set of express lanes that will be established, as well as The managed lanes that exist today from the Holot Interchange in the south to the Netanya Central Interchange in the north (with an aggregate length of about 110 km), and this for an operation and maintenance period of about 11 years.
