The average wage in the economy last May was NIS 11,300 gross, a decrease of 3% compared to April this year. This is according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The number of jobs in May was 3.552 million, an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period last year and an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous month.

The highest salary was recorded in the field of research and scientific development with an average salary of NIS 30,123 gross, while the lowest salary in the industry was recorded in the field of communication services with an average salary of NIS 14,711 gross. In May, the number of employee jobs in the high-tech field was about 340,000, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous month. Employee jobs in the high-tech field accounted for 9.5% of all employee jobs.
