Mass Casualties in Arad: Iranian Missile Strike Wounds Dozens as Nationwide Toll Surpasses 100

An Iranian ballistic missile struck the city of Arad on Saturday, causing a mass-casualty incident following a direct hit in a residential area. According to Israeli emergency services, 59 people were injured in the strike.

Earlier, a ballistic missile struck Dimona despite an attempted interception, raising concerns within the defense establishment.

The strike on Arad was part of a broader coordinated assault by Iran and Hezbollah, involving dozens of missiles and rockets targeting southern, central and northern Israel.

Across the country, the number of wounded has now surpassed 100, with additional casualties reported in Dimona and other impact sites.

Security officials are examining the incidents closely, as multiple direct impacts in southern Israel highlight the growing strain on air defense systems under sustained multi-front attacks.

Authorities warned that further escalation remains possible as Iran and Hezbollah continue coordinated strikes against Israeli territory.
