Hundreds of people demonstrated on Tuesday evening together with family members of abductees, blocking the Begin road outside the Kriya base in Tel Aviv, while they are inside cages. The demonstrators shout, among other things: "All the people demand now - every abductee return home" and "All the people stand up - give us back our hearts". 4 protesters who blocked the road were arrested by the police, with two of them being relatives of 9-year-old Ohad Monder, who was released from Hamas captivity in the first step of the hostage deal.
Gil Dickman, whose relatives were kidnapped to Gaza, shouted inside the cage: "Benjamin Netanyahu look at me and tell me if this is what victory looks like? We know it is in your hands to give the negotiating team what they need to reach a deal. The abductees are now dying in Gaza in cages like this, they pass there Hell. The country is burning because there is no other choice."
Later, the families of the abductees together with the activity of the women's protest for the abductees and the abductees blocked Ayalon Darom, and later the police managed to evacuate the protesters from the road and it was reopened to traffic. The police began to confront some of the protesters and arrested four of them.
Against the background of the return of the Israeli delegation from Qatar and evidence of sexual abuse in captivity and the murder of other abductees, the demonstrators called on the government to take responsibility for the lives of the abductees and not to blow up the negotiations with Hamas.
The women's protest said: "We were promised that Israel is an all-powerful power - so how does it let Hamas hold it so short and manage the negotiations? The answer is clear - for the government it is more important to keep the chairs than to keep the lives of the kidnapped! We have no expectations from Hamas, our call is strong and clear to the Israeli government - stop the fighting, take out Ben Gabir and Smotritz who are harassing a deal, stop the campaign against the families of the abductees, and above all - create the conditions for their return home immediately."
"The government abandoned my son and the government abandons all the abductees in Gaza," shared the frustration of Yehuda Cohen, the father of the soldier Corporal Nimrod Cohen, who was kidnapped from the burning tank on October 7. "The government did not give my son normal means to protect the border and protect himself and citizens. It seems that what is important to Bibi is only the evasion law and stinky deals. Instead of making a deal to release the kidnapped, he is busy surviving as prime minister and as a free man. My son enlisted and was kidnapped and they are busy promoting the evasion of their sons. We are standing here in an impossible situation."
