For the first time since the election, and after the imposition of the task of assembling the government on Benjamin Netanyahu, about a thousand people demonstrate tonight (Saturday) in front of the prime minister's residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem against him and his government. At the same time, about 30 demonstrators stood in front of the president's house and police forces were called to the scene. Before that many protested at intersections and bridges.
The protesters first arrived at the Knesset, from where they marched to Balfour, and some even continued as far as the entrance gate to the president's house - where the police began evacuating them.

Among the organizers are the "No Situation" movement, the "Prime Minister" and the Movement for Quality of Government, whose activists call for "immediate expulsion of defendant Netanyahu for imprisonment," claiming that "he is not fit for the job, not even as transition minister." The chairman of the Movement for Quality of Government, Adv. Eliad Shraga, said that "President Rivlin erred in value when he gave the criminal defendant the opportunity to form a government. Netanyahu, who has a built-in and permanent conflict of interest, proves unfit for office every day."
Shraga added that "his dangerous 'coup speech' proved it, the politicization he did from the day of the Holocaust proved it. No person in the world, however talented, can run a country in parallel with appearing in court three times a week as a criminal defendant. We demand immediate fortification, and for that We also petitioned the High Court.
Brigadier General Amir Hashakel, one of the leaders of the protest and one of the founders of the protest tent in front of the prime minister's residence, which was dismantled about 20 days ago, said that "the protest is not quiet for even a moment. we will not stop. The problem is that we are now in a time of uncertainty. We must adapt to what is happening. If Netanyahu forms a government, we will return to the peak of the demonstrations. "
He added: "Today it is not a situation of a prime minister being criminally charged, it is a prime minister who does not follow court instructions. We live in anarchy. There is no justice minister, no communications minister, no state attorney. It is chaos." Former Defense Minister Moshe (Boogie) Ya'alon also arrived at the scene and spoke with the intellect, who was heard saying to him: "You are as worried as I am."
The people in front of the prime minister's residence called on right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett not to join Netanyahu, and to join a bloc that opposes him. "The people have determined that they want a change in government and will not get another election," the black flags organization said ahead of the demonstrations. "We will not remain silent or stand aside when a Knesset member with three indictments and an ongoing trial tries to form a government in Israel."
The Kreim Minister movement said that this was a "critical" situation, and said that Netanyahu's speech on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day shows that "he is not sick by any means," as they put it. "This is an emergency. Israeli citizens deserve a full-time prime minister who will unite the people."
The black flag movement said earlier today that the renewal of the protest comes under the message "yes to a change government - no to fifth elections". The movement also said that "this is our message to the parties from which the people of Israel expect to save democracy. Precisely now because the mandate can be given to the accused, we will make sure to keep the demand for strong change on the agenda." The demonstrations on the bridges also returned to activity during the afternoon.
The demonstrators are protesting against Netanyahu's continued tenure at the same time as being charged with a crime, claiming, among other things, that he cannot separate his personal and legal good from his political decisions. The prime minister is charged with three counts.
In the 1000 case (the benefit benefits affair), Netanyahu is accused of receiving benefits worth about NIS 700,000 from businessmen Arnon Milchen and James Packer, while he served as prime minister. The main gifts were cigars, champagne packages and jewelry.
In addition, it was alleged that Netanyahu acted in Milchen's favor in three matters, in which the businessman sought his intervention: he approached US Secretary of State John Kerry to extend the businessman's visa, he approached Finance Minister Yair Lapid to extend the exemption. A tax for returning residents, and he worked to promote a merger of "Keshet" and "Reshet" - ostensibly at Milchen's request. According to the lawsuit, these acts damaged the image of the public service and the public's trust in it. In this case, Netanyahu is accused of fraud and breach of trust.
The 2000 case (the Netanyahu-Mozes affair) deals with talks between Netanyahu and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes. In those talks, the two allegedly discussed the benefit of the prime minister's coverage of the Yedioth group, in exchange for imposing restrictions on the newspaper's main competitor - Israel Today. The person who offered the deal is Mozes, so he is accused of bribery. On the other hand, the ombudsman was also convinced that Netanyahu did not intend to complete the bribe deal, but continued the talks with Mozes to improve his coverage in the Yedioth group, and there are certain actions to do so. In this case, Netanyahu is accused of fraud and breach of trust.
Case 4000 (Bezeq-Walla affair) The most serious case for the prime minister concerns regulatory benefits worth hundreds of millions of shekels, which Netanyahu allegedly granted to Elowitz. In return, according to the indictment, Elovich acted to skew the coverage on the Walla! NEWS, which was under his control. In this case, Netanyahu is accused of bribery.
