After last week the organizers of the protest announced the establishment of the "Kaplan Force", and after a week of petitions and clashes, today the demonstrations against the legal revolution are taking place across the country for the 26th time, almost half a year after the first demonstration in Kaplan. Hundreds of thousands of people protest in Tel Aviv and various cities in the north, in Dezrum, and in the center.
At the demonstration in Kaplan, Ron Huldai, Moran Zer Kazanzstein, leader of the Alternative Builders organization, and Moshe Redman - high-tech entrepreneur and lecturer - spoke. The demonstration was moderated by journalist Or-Lee Bar-Lev.

The body that was announced last week, the "Kaplan Force", said before the demonstration began: "The renewed blitz of legislation will meet the Kaplan Force and the entire people of Israel are more determined than ever to stop the dictatorial legislation. We are entering July of "A strong and determined opposition, in the end Israel will remain a democracy. The threats to the justice system are a threat to the values of equality and freedom of the Declaration of Independence, to the foundation that unites the State of Israel."
The organizers of the protest mentioned, among other things, the "police activity against demonstrators and officials who oppose the government" and called it "events that only happen in a dictatorial regime". According to them, these actions make it clear that "Israel is in the midst of attempting a regime coup of the most difficult kind."
Large demonstrations have already begun in Gedera, in Rehovot, in Kiryat Tivon, at the Karkur intersection and at many other intersections throughout the country. In Haifa, the procession started from the auditorium in the center of Carmel towards the center of Horeb. In Tel Aviv, the procession departs from the Bima area towards Kaplan. In Rehovot, the Science Park intersection was blocked as a result of a demonstration, in which attorney Talia Sasson and attorney Gonen Ben Yitzhak participated.
About 1,200 people arrived at Nahalel Junction today. Among the speakers were former MK Emily Moati and the social activist Hani Gadir.
Limor Regev, an activist in the protest in the valley, said: "The over 1,000 people who came here tonight and have been coming here for more than six months are proof of the strength of the protest, the strength of this wonderful people, the strength of the wonderful valley and its wonderful people who always knew how to stand at the front and defend the country, and today stands on the frontline for the defense of democracy."
Sasson said: "We will defend the vision of Israel that was written in blood in the Declaration of Independence. We will remind the government that has lost its way of the values of the Declaration. We will fight for democracy with our bodies. The character of Israel cannot be changed. The demonstrations are the guarantee for our future. This is a sharp statement that you should write down - the State It is ours. We are the people. We built it. We will not let you destroy it."
The leaders of the protest said at the end of the week that "the legislation has not been shelved and the coalition leaders continue to promote it, and Minister Zohar even stated that escalation is no longer on the agenda. The salami is turning into a blitz and we are determined to stop the attempted countermeasure aimed at democracy. The protest will increase and intensify and it will be the one that will stop the dictatorship again." In addition, we updated in their announcement: "In the coming Mochas, all of us in Kaplan and throughout the country and in two protests will go to the National Bank of Israel."
The leaders of the protest, let's remember, are now threatening to exacerbate it following the advancement of the legislation, and alongside the regular demonstrations expected on Saturday night, they announced that they intend to demonstrate in Benghazi next Monday.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he will advance the legal revolution even without agreements, and now his Minister of Justice also promises: I will not give up. Minister Yariv Levin spoke on Friday afternoon to dozens of supporters who came to a Shabbat celebration event in front of his house in Modi'in, and told them: "I tell you in the sharpest and clearest way - I will not give up, because I know that this fight is already far beyond the fight for changes in the justice system, It's a fight for the image of the country, it's a fight for our ability to lead a real Jewish and democratic life here."
Levin further claimed: "We don't have money like they have, we don't have media backing like they have, but we have a strong strong belief, it will be impossible to beat us." According to him, "The people decide, and not a handful of people who sit in court and not a violent group that thinks it can wake up an entire neighborhood at half past five in the morning or people who think that because they served in the army - as we do and have done and our children do too - this gives them some prerogative to cancel the election results, to force their opinion and prevent people from flying at the airport."
Against the background of the coalition's intention to finally approve as early as next month the dramatic reduction of the reasonableness ground, in a way that would grant the government immunity from legal review using this ground, Levin said that the decision to do so without agreements was made only after the coalition showed "good will" in the compromise talks that collapsed. He claimed that behind the scenes there were those in the opposition who expressed agreement with him and told him he was right, but according to him none of them had the courage to do so publicly.
"That's why we have to continue with the legislation and we are doing it and we will continue to do it," added Levin. "As I already said in the first speech when I presented the reform - we will do it out of responsibility, we will protect everyone, we will correct where it needs to be corrected, but the main points of the reform, the heart of the matter, the profound change in the judicial system, its transformation into a system that belongs to all the people - that everyone has a place And anyone can be appointed a judge, even if he comes from the periphery or not from a family of judges - we will change this too. I will not give up on that and with the enormous public support we are going to make this tremendous change in a big way. Success depends on our cohesion and determination, also on the public And in the Knesset."
