In a chilling revelation, an American newspaper's two-month investigation has exposed a horrifying pattern of sexual-based violence during the "Nova" festival massacre, marking the darkest day in Israel's history. The video capturing an unidentified woman, initially known as "The Woman in the Black Dress," lying in despair has sparked a widespread search for victims' families.

The investigation, drawing on videos, photos, GPS data, and over 150 interviews, uncovered seven locations where women and girls fell victim to rape or sexual assault. The gruesome details include the rape and murder of women on Road 232, where Gal, a mother of two, met her tragic end.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of brutality, with four accounts pinpointing specific instances of rape and murder on Road 232. A shocking video released by the IDF further exposed the sexual assault on two female soldiers.

Sapir, a 24-year-old accountant, emerged as a key witness, providing graphic evidence of the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists. Her harrowing account described a chaotic scene of violence, with 100 individuals, most in military uniforms, exchanging weapons and brutally assaulting women.

Raz Cohen, another witness, recounted a horrifying incident where five men, armed with knives and a hammer, raped and slaughtered a young woman. The investigation revealed at least 30 bodies found in the massacre area, mirroring Gal's tragic fate.

Survivors like Sapir and others have endured ongoing trauma, with some seeking help from the Ministry of Welfare. The Ministry confirmed receiving applications from survivors of sexual crimes, acknowledging the long-term nature of the healing process.

The revelation of sexual-based violence during the Nova festival massacre has prompted a call for acknowledgment and support for the survivors, challenging a denial campaign surrounding the gender crimes committed on Black Saturday. As the Ministry of Welfare gears up for long-term assistance, the nation grapples with the aftermath of an unprecedented tragedy.
