To date, 578 people have died from the corona virus in Israel. Researchers at the Hebrew University confirm that there is a marked decrease in morbidity, but they are concerned about the loosening of the discipline of the gathering restrictions. Professors Doron Gazit and Ronit Calderon Margalit point out that in Tel Aviv there was a 20% increase in the number of people infected last week.
Last week there was an increase of 57 deaths, this week the figure rose to 75 - about two deaths a day. Also, the number of severe patients increased by 53 in total per week, compared to 19 last week. There has been a decrease in the number of respirators. There was an increase of 7 this week, compared to an increase of 18 last week.
Yesterday, corona projector Prof. Roni Gamzo presented his plan to fight the corona virus, saying that the main goal the health system is striving for is to reduce the incidence of the disease to hundreds of people infected by September. Prof. Gamzo explained that "Israel is currently suffering from high corona morbidity. This is the highest mental illness in the world, which means that over time it is impossible to continue like this."
On Friday morning, Prof. Roni Gamzo, Director of Magen Israel, will hold a meeting chaired by Home Front Command Major General Uri Gordin, and Maj. Gen. Roni Noma, in charge of the ultra-Orthodox sector at Magen Israel, , Elad, Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit, Beit Shemesh and Beitar Illit.
At the meeting, Prof. Gamzo told the heads of the authorities that the common goal is to lower the morbidity data and for this purpose it is necessary to carry out some immediate actions starting this coming Sunday:
1. The obligation to establish a Chamal that will operate 24/7, with representatives of the police / HMOs / Home Front Command, headed by a Chamal director who will be subordinate to the mayor. The Knesset will have the authority to monitor tests, conduct epidemiological investigations and decide on a closure in cooperation with and through the police.

2. Preventing initial infection by preventing crowds, preventing contact between verified patients and their family members and, of course, increasing the rate of wearing masks - all through massive advocacy.
3. Increasing the number of tests and streamlining the test processes, with the joint effort of all the health funds that will have to increase the availability for the test and significantly shorten the service times - from referring to sampling and the result.
4. Increasing the availability of epidemiological investigations - and expanding the cooperation of the ultra-Orthodox public to carry out the investigations quickly in order to interrupt the chains of infection.
5. Evacuation to hotels for anyone who needs and desires it, in addition to financial and social support for those who are in capsular isolation within the family unit.
6. Mapping the social and economic needs of each authority so that government ministries can assist in this.
7. Including the work of the ultra-Orthodox authorities vis-à-vis all parties will be the sole responsibility of Maj. Gen. Roni Noma, in coordination with the Commander-in-Chief and the Ministry of Defense.
