The restaurants and food business will remain open until next Tuesday at 05:00 in the morning, according to the format that has been used until now - the Prime Minister's Office said today (Friday). According to the bureau's announcement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister Bnei Gantz have decided to do so in order to allow preparations and due to the purchase of food supplies in restaurants.
The decision comes after a fierce protest by restaurant owners across the country, against the decision to reopen the restaurants, except for self-collection and deliveries. According to data released by the Ministry of Health to the Corona Commission earlier this week, the number of known cases of infection in restaurants stands at 21 in restaurants and six in bars.
Among the happy restaurateurs, there were also several restaurants in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Herzliya, which stated that they do not intend to comply with restrictions on their activities. Among the restaurants whose owners have declared a "rebellion" and decided to open this evening despite the ban: "Mashia", "Spacehouse", "Coffee Bar", "Hotel Montefiore", "Brothers Restaurant", "Ivy", "Gocha", "Sarbsa" , "A Place of Neve Tzedek Meat", "Bichicalta", "Rustico", "La Shuk", "Osaria" and "Herzl 16". Also, "Hamara Talpiot", "Pizzeria Talpiot" and "Po 26" in Haifa, "Tapau" and "Cocoa" in Herzliya.
Earlier, officials in the Prime Minister's Office said that the education system would also remain open this coming Sunday, and at least until a meeting is held on the subject, at which the positions of the various ministers will be heard early next week. This, a day after the announcement of the closure of educational institutions, due to the fear of the spread of the corona virus.
According to the sources, the postponement of the implementation of the decision was made after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu realized that it was necessary during preparations to close the education system. In blue and white, it is said that Netanyahu and the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Bnei Gantz are expected to hold a consultation on the issue, and it is estimated that it will open as a series at least in the first half of next week.

At a government meeting held in a zoom conversation last night (Friday), the ministers made a series of decisions in the fight against the corona, some of which differ significantly from the recommended steps taken yesterday for its decision. These are the decisions, and these are the differences.
Gyms and studios: Closing gyms and studios used for sports or dance activities, except for the activities of a competitive athlete. This is a complete closure, from today at 17:00. Gyms and studios: Closing gyms and studios used for sports or dance activities, except for the activities of a competitive athlete. This is a complete closure, from today at 17:00.
However, it is not yet clear whether this case will come to the committee's table, partly because the coalition promised to impose sanctions on Yifat Shasha Bitton's committee, as it refused to align itself with the government regarding gyms and swimming pools. In the Knesset's legal advice, discussions are still taking place for the purpose of directing the legislation required for next week.
2. Restaurants and restaurants: Self-collection service and deliveries will only be possible, without sitting in place. In fact, sitting in restaurants will be completely banned.
The recommendation of the National Security Council and the Ministry of Health yesterday stated that only deliveries from restaurants are allowed. Tonight the government decided to ban sitting in them, and more self-collection. As in the case of the gyms and the studio, the decision will take effect today at 5:00 PM, and the Knesset will be required to approve it in three retrospective readings. Even in this case, it is not known in which committee the issue will be approved.
3. Restaurants and restaurants in hotels: The number of stays will be limited to 35% of the maximum allowable occupancy.
According to the government, the decision was made to "allow the hotels to continue operating".
4. Beaches: From next weekend - Staying on the beaches from 17:00 on Friday until Sunday morning will be prohibited.
The National Security Council's recommendation was a general closure over the weekend in the "Seder night" format, but the government has decided that there will be no restriction on the distance from home. The beaches will be closed every Friday, although experts have objected. "The safest in the open air," they said. In any case, this weekend the beaches will still remain open.
5. Restrictions Every weekend: Shops, malls, retail markets, hairdressers, beauty salons, libraries, zoo, zoos, museums and exhibition spaces, pools, tourist attractions and cable car will be closed.
Although the "Weekend Closure" initiative has been rejected, the restrictions are dramatic, and will take effect from today at 17:00. The same restrictions will end every Sunday at 5 p.m. This is in contrast to the regular restrictions (not only on weekends) on restaurants, gyms and studios. The official announcement from the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister's Office stated that the restriction on weekends will not apply to stores that provide essential services: places to sell food, pharmacies and a store that mainly deals with the sale of hygiene products, optics stores and a laboratory for repairing communication products. In addition, this restriction does not apply to a hotel swimming pool, which is for hotel guests only. In the original recommendation, the closure (which as mentioned was postponed), was supposed to start at 5 a.m. on Friday.
6. The schools of the great freedom and the meetings: There is still no decision. The recommendation was to close all educational, teaching and educational institutions of all types, at all ages and of all streams, but due to strong opposition from the ministers it was decided not to decide in the meantime regarding the education system.
The government authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Prime Minister Bnei Gantz, after consulting with the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Health and the Minister of Education, to make a decision regarding further restrictions on the issue.
7. Gathering Restriction: Prohibition of gatherings of more than 10 people in a closed space and more than 20 people in an open space.
The director general of the Ministry of Health will sign the order and the decision will take effect today at 5:00 PM. It also applies to the synagogues, which were not mentioned separately, although there has been a demand in recent days to close them.
8. Additional decisions: Reducing the reception of the public in a government ministry (beyond online service), a reduction to a 50% attendance in the government ministry and closing dining rooms in workplaces. Decisions concerning government ministries require the approval of the State Commission.
9. Buses: According to the National Security Council's recommendation yesterday, the number of passengers on the buses will be 50% of the occupancy. But tonight's decision did not say anything about the buses and also about the trains, which have recently resumed operations.
