Israel is celebrating 72nd Independence Day, which this year has been marked in homes rather than on streets and entertainment venues, because of regulations designed to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.

Deputy Police Commissioner, Moti Cohen, conducted a police helicopter tour to examine the enforcement of the stringent regulations.
And more than 6,000 police, border patrol and volunteers assist hundreds of IDF soldiers and city inspectors deployed across the country to enforce the regulations.

He noted that "many mobility within the city will also be patrolled in parks and open spaces to enforce the regulations." Police emphasized that the ban on gathering and leaving the parks was still in effect and will be enforced tomorrow morning as well.
