Israel is celebrating 72nd Independence Day, which this year has been marked in homes rather than on streets and entertainment venues, because of regulations designed to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
The beacon lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl was held without crowds and without the flagship exchange of IDF troops.
 As a result of the stringent holiday regulations, the businesses that opened in recent days, as did the supermarkets. The traffic on the roads has been greatly reduced due to the prohibition of traveling between cities.
At 17:00, the special regulations for the holiday took effect. By tomorrow at 8pm you can leave home only for the supply of essential medicines and products. It is forbidden to move between cities and localities, unless these services are not available in the residential locality, and then it is permissible to leave a nearby locality. Food purchases will not be possible. Also, public transportation was stopped.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that celebrations should not be celebrated in the public domain, and that homes should be kept. It is still permissible to ventilate up to 100 meters from the house, or to exercise within 500 meters of the house.
Deputy Police Commissioner, Moti Cohen, conducted a police helicopter tour to examine the enforcement of the stringent regulations.
And more than 6,000 police, border patrol and volunteers assist hundreds of IDF soldiers and city inspectors deployed across the country to enforce the regulations.
Checkpoints were posted in the north of the country: at the intersections and intersections Goma, Hanania, Ahihud, lentils, Shafia, Somekh, Bishim, Yishai, Kafr Qara, Baqa and Nahal Hadera. "The public is attentive to the police and the Ministry of Health's instructions," said Doron Sasson, commander of the patrol at Beer Sheva Station. "If we encounter an unusual case, we will know how to handle it. The barriers are for the benefit of the citizen."
He noted that "many mobility within the city will also be patrolled in parks and open spaces to enforce the regulations." Police emphasized that the ban on gathering and leaving the parks was still in effect and will be enforced tomorrow morning as well.
