The Intelligence Division report released this morning indicated a continued downward trend in morbidity, with an infection coefficient of 0.85. Among those aged 60 and over, there has been a decline in the rate of those diagnosed and seriously ill, probably as a result of the vaccination campaign. The opposite trend was recorded in young people, who make up about 40% of the severe patients last week.

The Ministry of Health updated Saturday that 4,595 people have been diagnosed with Corona in the past day. Thus, the number of infected people in Israel since the outbreak of the epidemic rose to 721,759. Yesterday, results were obtained for 75,587 tests, of which 6.8% were found positive. The test data and their results are not final and may change in subsequent updates from the Ministry of Health.
The number of active patients is 61,920. The hospitals house 1,534 patients, of whom 315 are respirators and 1,002 are seriously ill. Currently, 5,340 people have died from the corona virus in Israel.
Yesterday, 4,922 people were diagnosed in Corona. The number of tests was 75,574, of which 6.7% were positive for the virus. At the same time, the "coming back to life" vaccination campaign continues. To date, about 6 million doses of vaccine against the corona have been given in Israel - to 3.7 million vaccinated. According to the Ministry of Health, about 2 million Israelis are entitled to a vaccine certificate, after receiving the second dose of vaccine. At the end of Shabbat, the number of vaccinated in the first dose is 3,820,505 people, and in the second dose 2,453,631 people.
In the past week, the first since leaving the "tight closure", about 37,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus - a figure about 22% lower than the week before, when almost 48,000 people were diagnosed with the virus.
This week, about 480,000 children in urban kindergartens and first- and fourth-grade students returned to school, after five weeks in homes. According to the government's decision, a return to routine is only possible in the green, yellow localities and in some of the orange localities. In grades 1-2, classes will take place five days a week, including after-school classes and without division into capsules. In third-fourth grades, students will study in groups of up to 20 children, without after-school programs.
According to the outline that has been formulated, in the next two weeks, the fifth-sixth and eleventh-twelfth grades will return to activity, and in a month, the entire education system will operate with the return of seventh-tenth grades. The vaccination rate of each authority will be determined once a week, along with the decision on the color of the city. Inter-ministerial staff will be determined for areas within a particular authority - a neighborhood or several neighborhoods from the city, a locality within a regional council - that will be defined as areas where the vaccinated rate is different from the rate in the entire authority and studies are allowed in them.
Yesterday, the IDF announced that 2,830 conscripts are in permanent service and that IDF workers have been diagnosed with mild corona. One of them is set to blue in the hard mode, and another one is set to blue in the moderate mode. Slightly more than 10,000 servants are in home isolation.
The IDF also said that the scope of the epidemiological investigations that ended by Thursday in the Alon headquarters' investigation system is 5,237. In addition, 40% of all IDF servicemen have so far been vaccinated against the corona virus.
