Four people were killed and eighteen were injured, including two women in serious condition, in the accident of a "Egged" cooperative bus near Ben-Gurion Airport. The accident happened when a bus on Line 947 making its way from Jerusalem to Haifa collided with a concrete passenger station at the Check junction on Route 40.

I started the initial medical screening to assess the degree of injury to the wounded, two seriously injured, a woman about 60 and a young woman of 18 were rescued while undergoing medical treatment by the firefighters and were quickly transferred to ICU who were in critical condition for Sheba Hospital, the injured The arena was checked by MDA's additional teams and evacuated to the surrounding hospitals.
Chief Chai Mizrahi, a police department officer in the Central District of the police who arrived at the scene, said the initial findings indicate the driver lost control before crashing into the station.
