In a significant move aimed at enhancing security measures and safeguarding the population, the Home Front Command has issued a public announcement detailing the tightening of restrictions in specific regions of the country. The new guidelines, which come into effect from Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., will remain in place until Monday, October 30, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

The affected areas include the Gaza Strip, West Negev, West Lakish, and the settlements of Ashdod, Bnei Eish, and Gan Yavneh. In these regions, educational activities are temporarily suspended. However, gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed in open areas, and up to 50 people in structures. Public access to beaches in these areas is restricted.

These restrictions are in place to ensure that activities can be held in areas where residents can reach standard protected spaces during defense protocols.

In the Gaza Strip, activities can be carried out in workplaces following specific instructions outlined in the FDM General order. In the settlements of Ashdod, Bnei Ish, and Gan Yavne, special educational activities, at-risk youth programs, birth control activities, and youth movement gatherings are permitted within designated protected spaces. Funerals in these areas can involve up to 15 people.

Partial Activity in Designated Regions

In the Central Negev, Lachish, Judean Lowlands, Jerusalem, Shefalah, Yarkon, Dan, Sharon, Golan South, Golan North, and the conflict line, educational activities are allowed in areas with access to standard protected spaces during defense. Along the conflict line, educational activities are limited to protected spaces and are subject to movement guidelines issued by the Palestinian Authority. Gatherings of up to 30 people are allowed in open areas, and up to 300 people in buildings. Beaches in these areas are also closed to the public.

Full Operation in the Rest of the Country

For the rest of the country, no restrictions on educational activities, gatherings of up to 1,000 people, or workplace operations are in place. The public is urged to remain vigilant and adhere to the instructions issued by the Home Front Command to ensure the safety of themselves and their loved ones.

The Home Front Command emphasizes the importance of preparedness and compliance with safety measures. In the event of a warning, residents are urged to seek shelter in the designated area for a minimum of 10 minutes and to stay informed by following official updates provided by the Home Front Command through official channels.

These measures have been implemented to enhance the protection of civilians and ensure readiness during times of potential threat. The public is encouraged to stay informed and cooperate with the guidelines provided by the Home Front Command.
