1,023 Israelis were diagnosed yesterday as positive for Corona. This is the lowest number of verified since July 24. A total of 52,000 tests were performed and the positive rate was 1.99%. This is the first time since the end of July that the verified rate has been below 2%.
Data from the Ministry of Health show that 674 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals across the country, 463 of them in critical condition. This is a number similar to what it was last night. 186 of the critically ill patients are connected to respirators.

345 of the severe patients are not vaccinated, 70 of them are vaccinated without a booster dose and 31 are vaccinated with a booster dose. No details were provided for the other patients. The data show that more than 77% of the severe patients are not vaccinated, compared with about 7% who received the booster dose.
Among the severe patients, who are less than 60 years old, it appears that 176 are not vaccinated, 21 are vaccinated without a booster dose and seven are vaccinated with a booster dose. The data show that more than 86% of the severe patients, aged 60 and under, are not vaccinated - compared with about 3.5% who received the three vaccine doses.
In Israel, there are about 28,000 active patients. 2,610 of them live in Jerusalem, 903 in Tel Aviv-Yafo, 702 in Be'er Sheva, 684 in Rahat, 613 in Bnei Brak, 548 in Netanya and 532 in Petah Tikva.
44% of those diagnosed yesterday are aged 11 and under - an age group that cannot yet be vaccinated. 12% of those verified yesterday are aged 12 to 18 and 6% are aged 60 and over. The rate of Arabs among the verified continues to be high and stands at 41%.
Seven corona patients died yesterday - five of them unvaccinated and two vaccinated in two doses. Since the outbreak of the plague, 7,904 Israelis have died and since the beginning of the fourth wave, 1,472 Israelis have died from the complications of the disease.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, there are nine red localities in Israel - eight of them Arabs. These include a girl, Lakia, Arara in the Negev and Ilut. The only Jewish locality on the list of red localities is Kiryat Ye'arim - with a score of 7.8.

A 16-year-old boy from the Sharon died on Saturday after suffering from Post-Corona Syndrome (PIMS) and was recently connected to an Acme machine. The boy, who was not vaccinated, was hospitalized at the end of last month at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, where he received treatment with the help of a machine that replaces heart and lung activity, and was later transferred to Schneider Hospital in Petah Tikva, where he died.
PIMS is considered rare and occurs in children who contracted corona a few weeks after infection. It is usually manifested by fever and abdominal pain, and it is sometimes difficult to diagnose it in time - and so many of the children who suffer from it come to the hospitals when they are already in a difficult situation. Because it is a life-threatening disease that in some cases impairs heart function, some children need Acmo.
