The number of corona patients who are in a serious condition continues to decline, and their number on Tuesday evening is 489. This is the first time since August 13 that the number of patients is seriously lower than 500. Data from the Ministry of Health show that 197 of the seriously ill patients are connected to respirators.
Of the 489 patients who were severe, 363 were not vaccinated at all, 79 received the two vaccine doses but not the booster dose and 33 were also vaccinated in the third dose. In fact, more than 76% of severe patients are not vaccinated, compared with less than 7% who received the booster dose.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health updated that 1,678 Israelis were diagnosed yesterday as positive for Corona. A total of about 69,000 corona tests were performed and the rate of positive tests is currently 2.6%.
Since the outbreak of the plague, 7,853 corona patients have died in Israel, five of them today. Since the beginning of the month, 74 corona patients have died in Israel - 46 of whom have not been vaccinated at all, 16 have been vaccinated - but not in the booster dose and 11 who were vaccinated also received the booster dose. No data were received for one of the deceased. 13 of the deceased are under the age of 60 - eight of them are not vaccinated, four are vaccinated who did not receive the booster dose and one died who received the booster dose.
The number of active patients is about 36,000. 2,930 of them live in Jerusalem, 1,165 in Tel Aviv, 856 in Be'er Sheva, 844 in Bnei Brak, 766 in Rahat, 746 in Ashdod, 741 in Netanya, 727 in Petah Tikva, 670 in Haifa, 657 in Taibeh, 590 in Nazareth, 557 in Umm al-Fahm, 541 in Rishon Lezion, 535 in Beit Shemesh, 517 in Ashkelon, 487 in Holon, 464 in Kalenswa, 440 in Bat Yam, 425 in Rehovot and 402 in Tira.
The number of red localities has dropped to 18, and all red localities are Arab. Among the localities: Hura, Shabli Umm al-Ganem, Beit Jen, Kfar Manda, Qalansawa, Arara in the Negev, Segev Shalom, Ilut, Tel Sheva, Avtin and Ksaifa.

As of this morning, the obligation to scan the barcode applies to all presenters of the new label - and enforcement in places where the obligation to present a certificate will apply will begin on Thursday. The new green label, as I recall, is only eligible for those vaccinated in the third dose, recovering and those who have not been half a year since receiving the second vaccine dose.
The Corona Cabinet is expected to vote Wednesday in a telephone poll on the relief of its green daughter due to the continuing decline in morbidity. Among other things, the ministers are expected to decide whether to abolish the green label in open-air restaurants. In its place the purple character will take effect. That is, there will be no need to present a certificate of immunization in restaurants, the restriction will be according to the size of the place.
The cabinet is also expected to remove restrictions on open-air attractions such as jeep driving, kayaking and more. However, closed-space attractions will still have to require the following to display a green sign. A decision on the gyms is not expected to be made tomorrow, and the cabinet will decide the matter in just about two weeks.
The Corona cabinet convened for the first time in more than a month. At the meeting, the Ministry of Health recommended repealing some of the restrictions on the green label and moving to the purple label, but Prime Minister Naftali Bennett chose not to put the proposal to a vote, and Corona cabinet ministers have so far decided to exclude only libraries and museums so classrooms can visit organically.
