In the shadow of the decline in morbidity and after a month without discussions, the Corona Cabinet convened on Sunday. The Ministerial Committee has decided that starting this coming Tuesday businesses will be required to scan the new green label by reading a barcode. Libraries and museums will meanwhile be excluded so that organic classes in capsule layout can come through their gates without corona testing. However, it was decided that enforcement of the new green label would only begin on Thursday.
During the discussion, the professionals presented to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet ministers a focused picture of the situation of the corona in Israel, with an emphasis on morbidity in Arab society and the extent of its immunization. An action plan on the subject was also presented. Initially, the ministers were asked to examine the cancellation of the green mark and beyond the provisions of the purple mark in about a week, depending on the condition of the disease, but the decision ultimately made was to postpone the examination of the issue.
Ministers Amar Bar-Lev, Zeev Elkin and Ayelet Shaked, who attended the meeting online due to her stay abroad, said that the green mark should not be abolished in open spaces at this stage. Cancellation of the green label but Bennett decided that the cancellation of the green label in open spaces will be postponed for now but will be examined later.
Regarding the abolition of the green label in open spaces starting in another week, Prime Minister Bennett has decided to take more time to examine this step and not accept the recommendation of the Ministry of Health in the meantime.
Meanwhile, the Corona Virus Information Center said that so far more than a million new "green" certificates have been issued, at a rate of about 100,000 issues per hour. In the shadow of the congestion, it was decided to allow until next Thursday the presentation of a recovering / vaccinated certificate for the purpose of entering places operated with a green sign. "In order to allow time for organizing for the public, the enforcement of the green mark will not be carried out during these days and it will concentrate on publicity," it was reported.
Meanwhile, it was reported yesterday that the Ministry of Health updated that the rate of positive tests in the last day is the lowest since July 30 - 2.76%. The number represents 1,709 patients diagnosed from 64,742 tests. Across the country there are 42,570 active patients, of whom 879 are hospitalized. The number of severe and respiratory patients remained stable - 588 and 205 - as was the coefficient of infection, 0.74.
Progress in curbing morbidity comes against the background of the entry of the new green mark, which defines immunizations according to the receipt of a third dose. According to the Ministry of Health, 6,127,957 people were vaccinated with the additional dose, 5,647,012 per second and 3,472,304 received only the first.
