At midnight (Tuesday-Wednesday) the new corona restrictions came into effect, with the aim of curbing the rise in morbidity, which includes the expansion of the green label on most sectors of the economy and the activation of the purple label in malls and shopping centers and crowd restrictions. In the late evening, however, pressure was exerted to exclude children from having to present a negative test in order to enter pools or attractions.
During the night, a telephone poll was expected in the government with the aim of approving the exclusion of the swimming pools, nature reserves, national parks and parks from the green mark and applying a purple mark that determines occupancy restrictions according to the size of the place. This is due to the expected difficulty of parents to deal with corona tests for children before entering these places.
The places where the green label will be used: cultural and sports events, conferences and exhibitions, hotels, gyms and studios, prayer houses for over 50 people, halls and gardens, festivals, restaurants, bars, dining rooms and cafes, museums and libraries, amusement parks, universities and institutions For higher education.
There will also be a policy of presenting a green mark by age: 0-3 year olds are exempt from presenting the green mark, 3-12 year olds will have to present state-funded speed tests and those aged 12 and over who have not been vaccinated will undergo speed-funded speed tests. In addition, at the entrance to hotels it will be possible to present a PCR test, which will be valid for the entire vacation. Children aged 12-3 and vaccine engines will be able to perform a PCR test in favor of a vacation at a hotel in Israel at the HMOs or at the Home Front Command stations - free of charge.
In places where the purple mark will be activated, an occupancy restriction of one person per 7 square meters will apply, under the responsibility of the business owner: malls, shopping centers, shops (businesses with an area of ​​up to 100 square meters will be excluded and no purple mark will be activated), complexes where Reception. Regarding the restrictions of gathering - a gathering of up to 100 people in an open place and up to 50 people in a closed place will be allowed.
Meanwhile, the Constitution Committee will convene today to retroactively approve the new regulations that have come into force. According to the Great Corona Law, government regulations can enter into force even without approval by the Knesset - but the Knesset can approve, repeal or change their validity within seven days from the end of the declaration period. If after this period the committee has not made a decision, the regulations will be submitted to the Knesset plenum for approval.
