June 1 is a date that will undoubtedly be remembered in the history of the State of Israel's war on the corona virus: in light of the low and stable morbidity along with a successful vaccination campaign, the need for a green label will be eliminated from today (Tuesday). This means that after a year and three months of restrictions, closures and a variety of areas of life that have entered silence - life as we knew it is back.
In enclosed spaces there is still a duty of masks, but most of the economy should today move to normal activity, with no occupancy restrictions, no need to display a green sign at the entrance and with children and unvaccinated entering anywhere. However, not all areas will feel the change: at Ben Gurion Airport there are still restrictions on flying and returning from abroad, and there are also businesses that have adopted entry by pre-registration. So what is it actually going to look like?

In restaurants: From today you can go back and have the routine conversations with the hostess about the table you want. No more displaying a green sign at the entrance, no crowd restriction, children and unvaccinated can sit in any space, and the only restriction is wearing a mask in the interior spaces.
"For us, 1.6.21 is a holiday," says Tomer Moore, CEO of Strong Restaurants Together. "This is the day when our struggle bears fruit, with the abolition of the green and purple notes. We are happy to return and host the audience - children, adults and families, in whatever quantity the restaurant can accommodate, without conditions."
Regarding vacations in the country: from today there is no need to present a green sign at the entrance to the hotel, and of course - there is no need for corona tests for children and the unvaccinated. "I am glad that as of today, all restrictions on the entry of guests into hotels in Israel have been lifted," says Dan Hotel CEO Ronen Nissenbaum. "This is a great news for the hotel and tourism industry in Israel."
The B&B industry is also rejoicing: from now on there are no more restrictions on the number of guests and accommodation only of nuclear families. You can also go back and hold boutique events in the accommodation complexes. Ilana Aloni, CEO of the Zimmer Land website: "I am happy and excited that as of today, all restrictions on B & Bs, villas and rural accommodation complexes throughout the country have been lifted."
Banquet halls: Those who have been waiting to get married or celebrate a bat and bar mitzvah without restrictions can set off. From today the ballroom industry looks as it did before the Corona, with no limited guest lists, no obligation to present a green passport or recovery certificate and full occupancy. In halls there is a duty to wear a mask, in open event gardens there is no such duty.
Nature sites: The Nature and Parks Authority will continue with the model of pre-registration for sites. This means that visitors who do not register will be able to enter the sites only on the basis of available space. "At the same time, thanks to the abolition of the purple character and the removal of restrictions, the quota of visitors reduced due to the corona will increase as it did before the outbreak of the corona," says Shaul Goldstein, director general of the Nature and Parks Authority. Removing the Corona Restrictions. "
Museums are also embarking on a new and unrestricted path, with the only limitation being wearing a mask in a closed space. Some places will continue to work in the form of pre-booking tickets.
"We are very happy about the full return to routine," says Yossi I, CEO of Madatech, the National Museum of Science, Technology and Space in Haifa. It saves them a lot of time standing in line for the box office. "
After a 14-month hiatus, from today the division into green and purple halls in cinemas will be abolished, and admission will be free for all, just as it was before the outbreak of the corona plague. "There is no doubt that this is more than anything, it marks a return to a full routine," says Yes Planet's VP of Marketing, with a satisfaction.
The director of the Tel Aviv Hall of Culture, Dalit Korel, adds: "After a long and challenging period, I am happy that the Hall of Culture will return to full activity without any restrictions on the audience."
In the trading industry, we return to a full routine without any conditions, except for wearing a mask inside the mall or store. The food complexes will also operate without restriction. "The food fair has also returned to its regular format and we are returning the dining tables throughout the mall," Dizengoff Center marketing director Alex Kaplan said yesterday about the new routine of life in the old complex. IKEA reported on the opening of the children's kingdom in the chain stores and free entry to restaurants.
From today, beauty salons and hairdressers will return to work without restriction - without checking a green card and without occupancy restrictions. "I'm already waiting with a bottle of champagne," says Ilan Margalit, owner of a hairdresser from Ramat Gan, excitedly. "How I waited to receive my customers in droves like before, with no barrier at the entrance, no stickers of keeping distance. To go back and be free."
"We experienced closures during the closures, and we are happy that we have reached this moment," says Julia Gal, owner of the Julia beauty and beauty salon chain. "We will return to work as we did before the Corona. No restrictions on the number of people entering the store, without maintaining a space between the patients. We will also stop checking a green mark, so that traffic will flow more easily in the branches."
