Studies will be resumed in all the orange localities, not only the "border" ones, and the facilities for 11th-12th grade students who have also been vaccinated in red localities will be facilitated. In the shadow of calls for a full opening of the education system and the relatively encouraging morbidity data, the Corona Cabinet approved on Wednesday evening additional relief for students.
The new relief means another 200,000 students will return to classrooms and kindergartens. Instead of 1,861,081 students currently studying frontally - following the new traffic light map, 2,069,212 students in the education system will study in green, yellow and orange areas. This is an addition of 208,131 students.

The decision to allow studies in all the orange localities will take effect immediately, from today. In localities where the education system operates but has changed color to red, the system can continue to operate until the end of the week. This coming Sunday, the institutions in these localities will be closed.
In addition, it was decided that in educational institutions located in localities and red areas, where more than 75% of 11th-12th grade students have been vaccinated or recovered, the studies will take place in groups of up to 20 students. In the same educational institutions students will be able to switch between a maximum of 2 groups.
In all localities and areas (green, yellow, orange and red) in which more than 90% of the 11th-12th grade students who have been vaccinated or recovered, the studies will take place in full grades, and without restriction in the transition between the groups.
These are the red areas where they will continue distance learning: Umm al-Fahm; Horizons; Bueina-Nujidat; garden House; Bnei Brak - 01; Answer; Jaljulia; Bee; Singer; starling; earing; Yanuah-Jat; Beautiful; Jerusalem - Beit Hanina, Beit Safafa, Kfar Akev, Tzur Baachar - Jabal Mukaber, Ras al-Amud, Shuafat; Kasra-Smia; Kaabiyah-Tabash-Hajjajra; Kana village; Manda Village; Magar; Mitzpe Ramon; Mashhad; Nazareth; Espia; Arara-Negev; Fureidis; Kiryat Ye'arim; Rama; trough; Reina; Segev-Shalom; Ahiezer - Sdot Dan; Asper - Gush Etzion; Baruchin - Samaria; Barkat - Modi'in region; Bat Ayin - Gush Etzion; Modi'in Gardens - Mateh Binyamin; Yad Binyamin - Nahal Sorek; Yodfat - Misgav; Yoshivia - Sdot Negev; Yitav - Arava HaYarden; Yitzhar - Shomron; Kochav Hashachar - Mateh Binyamin; Kochav Yaakov - Mateh Binyamin; Kfar Chabad - Sdot Dan; Kfar Shamai - Merom Hagalil; Mukaybla - Gilboa; Jericho Observatory - Mateh Binyamin; Ali - Mateh Binyamin; Sheikh Danon - Asher headquarters.
Shortly before the announcement of additional relief for students, Education Minister Yoav Galant and the chairman of the local government center, Haim Bibbs, called for the opening of all educational institutions in all cities and towns in Israel, including the Reds, at the end of next Sunday. For a patient verified from 10 days to five days.
The two said that they call for conducting studies in accordance with the existing operating outline of the education system, and closing institutions differentially according to morbidity levels in educational institutions - and not according to morbidity levels in the city.
"The national vaccination campaign initiated and led by the prime minister is helping us to get out of the corona first in the world and get back to routine," Galant said. "Thanks to the continuing decline in morbidity data - we believe that all students, of all ages and from all cities and towns, must be returned to educational institutions as early as this coming Sunday. Education of Israeli children is a top national priority - and therefore I call for returning all students to a learning routine. And education in schools and kindergartens. "
Bibbs said: "It is time to allow Israeli students and their parents to return to normal life. As the economy returns to normal, it would be unthinkable to continue to keep hundreds of thousands of students at closed educational and social distance in their homes. The education system should be fully operational."

Teaching staff and educational staff in kindergartens and schools in Tel Aviv will be required from Sunday to present at the entrance to educational institutions a certificate of immunization, a certificate of recovery or a negative result of a corona examination conducted in the last 72 hours. This is the first decision of its kind in a big city.
The decision, which concerns kindergarten teachers, teachers, assistants and administrators in kindergartens and schools, is a binding decision. The municipality said that any case of an employee who refused to be tested or vaccinated would be examined on its own merits, noting that the municipality may use all the tools at its disposal to maintain the health of students and the educational staff.
In Tel Aviv, more than 50 kindergartens and schools in the city are currently closed due to exposure to a verified patient. A letter to all education workers stated that as part of the general effort to return to routine, the municipality seeks to focus an effort on reducing the morbidity of the city's schools and kindergartens. "Unfortunately not all workers are vaccinated and morbidity in educational institutions has been rising in the last two weeks," the letter said.
