2,809 people were diagnosed yesterday with corona. Data from the Ministry of Health published this morning (Friday) show that the rate of tests that returned positive from about 79,000 tests is 3.6%. Out of 416,231 tests, the positive rate in the last week stands at 3.38%. In the last seven days, an average of 2,241 patients have been diagnosed per day - and Israel is approaching the 2,500 mark set as a condition for "tight restraint."
Across the country, 419 patients are hospitalized in critical condition, of whom 105 are respirators. The outbreak of the plague killed 3,050 people in Israel.
The total number of infections since February stands at 368,759 people in Israel. According to CBS data, updated for Rosh Hashanah, 9,246,000 people live in Israel in Israel.
The data show that almost 4% of Israelis have been infected with corona in the last ten months, which means that one in 25 residents has been diagnosed as positive for the virus since February. It is very possible that the number is much higher, as there are quite a few undiagnosed infections and they are only identified on serological examination.
Israel is ranked 20th in the world in the overall rate of infection in relation to the population. In first place is Andorra, where close to 10% of the population is infected, followed by Luxembourg, Montenegro and San Marino. The Czech Republic, Belgium, the United States, Bahrain, Armenia, Georgia, Qatar, Slovenia, Panama, Switzerland and Croatia are also ranked ahead of Israel in the general rate of infection in relation to the population.
Earlier this week, HMO representatives announced that in the first phase, members of the medical staff and then people aged 60 and over and citizens suffering from chronic diseases would be vaccinated. Spouses aged 60 and over will also be vaccinated - even if they are younger.
Immunization stations will gradually open up and the first stations that are expected to open up will be large and with significant population centers. According to the HMOs, within about 10 days later, smaller vaccination stations may also open. Although Transparent Hospital Maccabi and Meuhedet announced yesterday that it is possible to make an appointment for a vaccine for Corona for those aged 60 and over from today, a Ynet examination shows that not in all centers was the instruction updated.
The morbidity has risen, and in dozens of cities and towns many students will not return to school even at the end of the Hanukkah holiday:
Many localities have been added to the red and orange list in recent days. According to the map, this list includes, among others, Kiryat Yam, Kiryat Bialik, Nazareth, Shefar'am, Tamra, Sakhnin, Umm al-Fahm, Bekaa al-Gharbiya, Raanana, Kiryat Malachi, Mevaseret Zion, Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Dimona, Abu Ghosh, Qalansawa and Or Yehuda. In addition, many neighborhoods in Jerusalem are also red and orange. On the map you can also examine the color of the neighborhoods in the capital.
