Unusually, the Ministry of Health did not update this morning (Sunday) the morbidity data of corona patients in Israel, due to a technical malfunction caused by the switch to winter time. The malfunction has created uncertainty in the data, and the situation may affect the decisions of the Corona Cabinet, which is expected to convene at noon, and cause the opening of the economy to be postponed for several days.
As of this moment, the data from the past 24 hours have been lost, and the HMOs, the Home Front Command and the Ministry of Health have been left without the same data. "Due to a technical glitch, the 'snapshot' this morning will be delayed. We are working to resolve the glitch, and we will continue to update," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
The cabinet that is expected to convene will discuss the opening of the education system in the lower grades, with the Ministry of Education pressing for an immediate opening in the background, but the Ministry of Health is concerned about spreading the disease among children. The cabinet will also discuss the opening of hairdressers and beauty salons, which have been closed since the start of the closure.
At the same time, the chairwoman of the Corona Committee, MK Yifat Shasha Bitton (Likud), sent a letter to the members of the Corona Cabinet urging them to immediately open all restrictions that do not have epidemiological logic. Hebrew according to depreciation. "While you are discussing which part of the economy will be opened at which stage, many of the citizens of the State of Israel are already collapsing economically and mentally."
Shasha Bitton added that "many business owners who do not work for a long time do not know if they will have a business to return to. Many employees wonder if the job they had at all exists and for them is just a laundered name for unemployment. Small businesses, markets and street shops must be opened immediately for an audience. "We must limit the number of customers who enter the store and, of course, comply with all the rules that require wearing masks, keeping distance and hygiene, but if there is no immediate opening, we will soon find that there is nothing left to open."

895 new infections have been diagnosed since midnight thursday, out of 33.788 tests. The percentage of positive tests is 2.8%. This was updated by the Ministry of Health.
Seven more Krona patients have died since midnight, bringing the number of victims since the outbreak of the plague in Israel to 2,319. 1,012 corona patients are hospitalized in hospitals across the country: 570 in critical condition, including 223 respirators, and 163 in moderate condition. The number of medical staff staying in solitary confinement has dropped below 1,000 and stands at 985, including 130 male and female doctors and 270 brothers and sisters. Today there are only four cities in Israel defined as red.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said last night that next week more steps will be taken for approval in the Corona cabinet against those who violate the guidelines, including heavy fines for educational institutions that are opened without approval. In a video posted on his Twitter account, the prime minister stressed: '' It's not for anyone-- it's for something. Against the virus, against the disease ''. He added that he expects everyone to cooperate, without exception.
Hospitals have in recent days begun closing Corona wards due to the decline in viral morbidity. The hospitals stressed that they could quickly open the wards if the easing of the closure would lead to a renewed increase in the number of patients.
The hospitals and the Ministry of Health have not declared the closure of the wards and a return to routine, partly because the number of patients - and especially those in a difficult situation - is still relatively high. Today, 1,046 corona patients are hospitalized in the hospitals, 600 of them in critical condition. After the first closure, the hospitals began to close the corona wards when the number of hospitalized was about 400, of whom 132 were in critical condition.
At the Ichilov Hospital, one of the five corona wards were closed. At Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, one corona ward has been closed in recent days, and in the coming days it is planned to close another ward there and leave two wards and an intensive care unit for Corona patients. In Soroka, a ward was closed this week, and the plan is to close the second ward next week and leave only a small unit to treat Corona patients.
At Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, an extended corona ward of 40 beds was closed and the hospital has three more wards with a total of one hundred beds. At Shamir Hospital (Assaf Harofeh), one of the four wards was closed, and Wolfson closed one of the two corona wards. At the Galilee Medical Center, one of the four corona wards at a hospital was recently closed. Last month, the institution announced that it could not receive more patients due to the workload it was under. The Corona ward was also closed at Poria Hospital, leaving one ward and intensive care units for Corona patients. At Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, the corona ward was closed and one ward and intensive care unit remained.
The reduction in the number of corona in hospitals is expected to continue if the number of patients continues to decline, and this will make it possible to reopen closed closed wards for the winter. In September, when the daily number of infections reached a peak, about 50 of 111 internal wards were converted to Corona wards.
The high morbidity last month also led to a heavy workload on the medical staffs. The Barometer team, which was to report on the situation in the hospitals to the Commissioner for the Fight against Corona, Prof. Roni Gamzo, warned at the time of a heavy workload in the Corona wards and intensive care units. The number of staff members forced to stay in solitary confinement was more than 4,000, which increased employee attrition. Hospitals were therefore allowed to shorten staff isolation periods, subject to test results, in order to get them back to work in wards quickly. The number of isolated staff today is 1,007, including 925 verified patients.
