3,300 new apartments will be offered in 11 localities at the discounted housing program

The Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Israel Lands Authority published on Wednesday the list of the 11 localities where approximately 3,300 new apartments will be raffled to those eligible as part of the discounted housing program "Discounted Apartment". This is the third lottery of the program, which will open this Sunday, and the registration for it will close on Thursday about a week later, two days after the elections.
As in the previous lottery, those eligible can register for three cities and all the lotteries in these cities. This year, about 17 thousand households have won the lotteries so far. Those eligible to register for this lottery are homeless people with a valid certificate of eligibility, when a certificate of eligibility for registration can be issued until next Tuesday. It should be noted that the previous notice from the Ministry of Housing spoke of 3,500 discounted apartments, but about 200 housing units will move to the next lottery, apparently because some of the contractors did not have time to pay the initial amount for the land.
With the exception of two localities, these are not cities in the demand areas but mainly in the periphery. It is about Beer Sheva, where 850 discounted apartments will be raffled off to those eligible; Lod, where 788 apartments will be drawn; Nof HaGalil (formerly Nazareth Elite), where 609 apartments will be raffled off; Ofakim, where 285 apartments will be drawn; and Tiberias, where a roof agreement was recently signed, and 211 discounted apartments will be raffled.
Also on the list of localities of the third lottery of a discounted apartment program: the ultra-Orthodox settlement of Emanuel, located north of Ariel, where 201 discounted apartments will be raffled off to those eligible; Afula, where 162 apartments will be drawn; the settlement of Kfar Qasem near Rosh Ha'Ein, where 100 apartments will be drawn for those eligible; the settlement of Sakhnin in the Lower Galilee, where 47 apartments will be raffled off; Jerusalem, where 35 discounted apartments will be drawn; and the Geva Binyamin-Adam settlement, which is adjacent to Yam, where 29 discounted apartments will be raffled off to eligible homeless people.
The Minister of Construction and Housing, Ze'ev Elkin, said: "In the past year, at the same time as steps were taken to dramatically expand the number of marketings to 100,000 per year, discount housing programs were returned to young couples that will give them the opportunity even now, despite the increase in housing prices, to buy an apartment at a discount of hundreds of thousands of shekels At the state's expense.
