Elbit Systems won a $180 million contract from the Ministry of Defense

Elbit Systems, managed by Bezalel Machlis, won a $180 million contract from the Ministry of Defense for the establishment, operation and maintenance of a mission training center for the Air Force's F-16 array. According to the contract, the center will be established within three years, after which Elbit will be responsible for its operation and maintenance for 15 years.
The new center will be added to the existing center that will be upgraded under the contract. The two centers will improve the quality of training, and double the number of sorties for the Air Force's fighter pilots in the F-16 and F-15 formations.
  The Air Force's new training center will include ten training rooms with advanced high-resolution display systems, simulating weapons models identical to the original and an arena generator from Elbit Systems (-1.01% 58900) that will simulate the combat arena, which together will enable simulation of the existing and future battlefield.
The current contract was received a week after Elbit Systems won a $107 million contract to operate the new simulation and training centers for the IDF's battle tanks. The training centers will deal with the training of the commanders and fighters of the Armored Corps and maintaining the competence of the regular formation and the reserve formation. The centers will be provided over a period of three years, And the contract includes operation and maintenance services for another 15 years.
The future simulation and training centers will operate on the IDF cloud using OneSimTM - Elbit Systems' cloud-based infrastructure software that is used for simulation that does not depend on the type of platform.
