starting November 1, the tax on disposable products consumed in Israel in large quantities will take effect

Posted on Oct 21, 2021 by Ifi Reporter

Following the plastic tax initiated by Finance Minister Lieberman, starting November 1, the tax on disposable products consumed in Israel in large quantities will take effect. The price to be charged for the purchase of disposable plastic products will be NIS 11 per kilo. This is an environmental step, but as I recall, many criticisms from the ultra-Orthodox side of the political map were heard following the step taken by Lieberman due to the widespread use of disposable products among the ultra-Orthodox public.
Now, before my one-time joy leaps, early preparations are being made. In the Osher network, until it is identified as intended for the ultra-Orthodox sector and is owned by the ultra-Orthodox businessman Avraham Moshe Margalit, an ad was hung calling on customers to prepare for price increases and equip themselves in advance, "Dear customers. "Shekels per kilo, and accordingly a sharp rise in prices is expected to double the current price! Pay attention and stock up accordingly."
And remember, there are those who do stock up accordingly. Yesterday, the editor of the website, "In the Haredi Rooms," Moshe Weisberg, published an advance purchase of disposable utensils in huge quantities at the Or Israel Yeshiva, in preparation for raising the one-time prices. "Lieberman decrees 5722: At the Or Israel yeshiva, preparations are being made to raise the one-time prices and advance a cure for Mecca. Today, the first quantity of 11 one-time surfaces for six months has arrived, and more will come in the coming days."
