Parole board: the prison sentence of Tzipi Refaeli mother of supermodel Bar Refaeli will be reduced

Posted on Apr 13, 2021 by Ifi Reporter

The parole board decided today (Tuesday) that the prison sentence of Tzipi Refaeli, her mother and the personal agent of supermodel Bar Refaeli, who was convicted of tax evasion by millions, will be reduced by a third. The committee presented the position of the prosecution, which agreed to the early release of Refaeli. She is expected to be released at the end of next month.
The reasons, among others, for the prosecution's position: This is Refaeli's first imprisonment, her behavior in prison is positive, she underwent treatment procedures as required and participates in the Prisoner Rehabilitation Authority's program. Refaeli was sentenced to 16 months in prison, and she went to jail in September. At the same time, the pardon that Refaeli submitted to President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin is pending - and if Rivlin grants her this pardon, the release will be immediate.
Refaeli Ham, represented by Adv. Shani Iluz, is serving a prison sentence as part of a plea deal she reached with her daughter and the prosecutor's office.
According to the plea agreement, Bar Refaeli lectures for nine months of service work at Beit Noam in Kiryat Ono, a center that provides a rehabilitative educational framework for campers over the age of 21, with intellectual and physical disabilities. Beit Noam has been operating in the city for 34 years, with 72 trainees who came from all over the country.
