Elbit Systems has won a $ 137 million contract from the British Ministry of Defense to provide the military with the future solution for acquiring targets for use by air assistance officers and fire assistance teams.
The contract will be executed over a period of five years. The solution that Elbit Systems will provide, acquires, produces and transmits information on the target to the fire systems - in favor of effective and integrated operation of accurate and inaccurate fire systems. The solution is amplified by artificial intelligence and will interface with the radio communications systems of the UK Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marine Corps.
The solution (D-JFI) is based on the company's operational experience in providing retaliatory warfare solutions to soldiers. It will enable the rapid and secure transfer of information on targets to all British forces and their allies, and will enable rapid and accurate application of artillery and air support.
