34% of patients who returned from abroad from December 1 till yesterday came from UAE

After the celebrations of the Israelis in Dubai come the dismal figures: 34% of patients who returned from abroad from December 1 to yesterday came from the United Arab Emirates, according to a Calcalist survey based on data from the Ministry of Health.
The data show that out of about 124,000 passengers who entered Israel during this period, 1,562 were found sick. Of these, 15% came from the United States and 12% from Ukraine.
On December 1, the first commercial flight from Israel to Dubai departed. In light of the Israeli crowd that registered in the city, and the fact that over 70,000 Israelis were supposed to arrive there on Hanukkah, the Ministry of Health expressed its desire to turn the city red a week after the flights opened. However, this decision was rejected due to fears that it would cause a political crisis.
Only about three weeks after the start of the regular flights, following the return of many Israelis from Dubai when they were positive to Corona, it was decided to declare all the red states without exception.
