The Icelandic airline Wow stops flying to Israel
Posted on Jul 11, 2018 by Ifi Reporter
The Icelandic airline Wow, which broke into the public consciousness in Israel when it offered flights from Tel Aviv to New York at a starting price of less than $ 200 in one direction, stops flying to Israel. This follows a series of denials and claims that it has problems with aircraft availability.
The company announced that it was suspending flights to Israel from the end of October and would not make flights here during the winter.
Company representatives clarified that the decision to stop the flights was for operational, logistical and commercial reasons. They did not specify what it meant, but those who followed its operations in Israel could not ignore the delays on the flights, which caused the company considerable damage.
In addition, according to a company source, it has ordered new aircraft, but the supplier is not keeping pace with its growth, so it has no available planes for all the lines it wants to operate. The Icelandic company began operating in Israel only a year and two months ago.
