Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was questioned on Friday in the Bezeq case again for four hours. Police investigators and the Securities and Exchange Commission arrived at the Prime Minister's residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem for his eighth investigation into this case and presented him with new testimonies and findings. The controlling shareholder of Bezeq and its former board chairman, Shaul Elovitch, was again questioned today, and his driver was also required to enter the interrogation room, where he gave open testimony.

The prime minister said that after the investigation, he was "certain that File 4000 had finally collapsed, and that his statements did not improve as claimed by the police.
The police and the Israel Securities Authority estimate that Netanyahu will not be required to be questioned again in case 4000 and that the investigators will begin in the coming days at the beginning of the file's conclusion. It is estimated that the investigation is nearing completion and that the case will be transferred to the State Attorney's Office if no special supplements are requested on its part or by the attorney general.
At the same time as Netanyahu's investigation, Shaul Elovitch, one of the owners of Walla and Bezeq, was also questioned. The police believe that Netanyahu fired Berger in order to benefit Alovitz and his request. Netanyahu denied this claim and claimed that if Berger was finally fired, it was because he was a trust minister. It is estimated that an indictment under a hearing will be filed within six months at the earliest. The State Prosecutor's Office believes that Netanyahu should be accused of bribery and thus aligns with the police position. However, the police and the State Prosecutor's Office do not have a "smoke gun" in the form of a witness or a recording that will indicate the connection between the sympathetic coverage of Walla and the alleged benefits to Bezeq. In addition, the police will recommend that Shaul Elovitch and his wife Iris Begin be indicted for bribery.
"It's just nonsense," said Jean Chen, Elvitz's lawyer, who says that "the authorities make sure to publish a serious slander when they have no evidence of it." Another record of ugliness, loss of way and violation of basic human rights in a country that claims to be a state of law.

A few months ago Prime Minister Netanyahuis was questioned at his residence, while his wife Sarah was giving testimony at the offices of the Lahav unit.  Netanyahu was asked about his ties with Bezeq controlling shareholder Shaul Elovitch. According to several testimonies revealed Netanyahu continued to deal with Bezeq matters even after he promised the attorney general that he would stop doing so.

Prime Minister Netanyahu told his interrogators that his signing of the merger between Bezeq and Yes was purely technical and that professional sources discussed the matter before bringing it before it. In this context, the Prime Minister mentioned committees at the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry's legal advisor, the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council and other bodies. The merger between Bezeq and YES is at the heart of the case of four thousand, because the deal put NIS 1.8 billion into the pocket of Shaul Elovitch, the controlling shareholder of Bezeq. The police and the Securities and Exchange Commission  asked for another investigation for Netanyahu and his wife after their visit to the United States. The interrogation of the Netanyahu couple will be simultaneous and separate.Sarah Netanyahu attests to her ties with Shaul Elovitch's wife, Iris, and the messages she allegedly transmitted to her about Bezeq and the Lior's account of the Netanyahu family on the Walla website.
