In a concerning escalation of tensions, at least 50 rockets have been reported launched from Lebanon towards Israel. Reports indicate that Kiryat Shmona, a town in northern Israel, was targeted, with 30 launches detected in the barrage. Fortunately, Israeli defenses intercepted 13 missiles, and the remaining 17 fell in open areas, resulting in no injuries or damage reported at this stage.

Responding swiftly to the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched counterattacks on Hezbollah targets across six areas in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the rocket barrage on Kiryat Shmona, citing it as retaliation for an Israeli attack on Khula, where reportedly four individuals, including a family, were killed. However, Israeli sources have contested these claims, stating that only ten rockets were intercepted out of 30 detected launches.
