A ministerial committee for reserve soldiers has approved a plan that includes benefits for reservists who own small and medium-sized businesses. Benefits include:
- The Ministry of Economy and Industry, through the Small and Medium Enterprises Agency, will promote and encourage businesses owned by active reservists. Preference shall be given to the employment track of the Ministry operated by the Investment Authority.
- A dedicated business technological accelerator will be established for active reservists, who will be budgeted jointly by the Ministries of Defense and Economics at a cost of NIS 1 million. In order to express appreciation and appreciation for the reserve system, which is a fundamental component of the security of the State of Israel, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen will approve a variety of benefits for reserve soldiers and their families.
According to the proposal approved by a ministerial committee for the reserve system, a dedicated business technology accelerator will be established for active reservists, who will be budgeted jointly by the ministries at a cost of NIS 1 million. The purpose of establishing the accelerator is to assist reservists, especially reservists, to promote technological entrepreneurship, taking into account the reserve days required of them during the year. The business accelerator will help to encourage and develop the existing entrepreneurial potential in this population. The accelerator will include personal escort and mentoring services, diverse consulting services, joint work space and more.
The Small Business Agency, through the Ma'of branches - the Agency's field bodies operating throughout the country - will provide all reservists, small and medium-sized businesses:
- 50% discount for participants in Business Initiatives courses - subsidized cost of only 400 NIS, instead of 800 NIS. The courses are designed for potential entrepreneurs and provide theoretical and practical principles for the establishment and effective management of the business.
- 20 hours of consultation - beyond the current eligibility, which is determined according to the size of the business (from 15 hours to a small business and up to 150 hours for a business up to 100 employees).
- Discount of 50% of the cost of consulting hours - 40 NIS, instead of 80. It should be noted that the consulting hours given to entrepreneurs and business owners today by "Maof" - the agency bodies of the Small and Medium Business Administration are reduced at NIS 80 per hour, 400 NIS per hour, on the free market. As stated, reservists will receive an additional significant discount for the additional counseling hours.
In addition, priority will be given to the employment track of the Ministry operated by the Investment Authority.
